Keep in mind that this is in no way any sort of speculation as to who Twilight is, or even if he (?) really is the Season 8 Big Bad, and not just a red herring.

Now, that point established, here is my question:

Which former Big Bad or major bad guy from either "Buffy" or "Angel" would you like to see make an appearance in Season 8?

I think that Angelus would be great, especially if they could figure out some way to separate Angel and Angelus into two independent characters.

I would also love to see how Buffy would come out against the Beast, or, even better, have Buffy and Faith team up against him.

Also, it would fit right in with the current story line to have the Initiative somehow reactivate or duplicate Adam.

I'd still love to see The Master again... but I can't imagine how they'd bring him back, or how well he'd play out on the page.

Other than him... Drusilla, and that's honestly all I can think of. I mean, of course there are more, but I really wouldn't want to see them again. Dru and Darla are always entertaining, but it seems like it would be difficult to bring back any of the others.

Darla would be pretty difficult too. =P I do agree with you though.
It would also have to be someone who's pretty capable of kicking Buffy's ass. Dru and Darla, as powerful as they were, could not hold a candle to Buffy. The same for Angelus, although he was a bit stronger than most villains. And The Master?! Well here's some food for thought. If 16 year old Buffy could kill the Master in less than five minutes, what match would a reincarnated, been-there-dusted-that Vamp give to a now 25 year old professional Slayer Buffy? Buffy defeated the master much easier than she defeated some ordinary vamps. And The Master was NOT the type to go head-to-head with his adverseries, more so he always had his lackies do the dirty work for him. He only battled Buffy after sending god-knows how many assassins after her and because he needed her blood to become free from the hellmouth. That's all. Twilight doesn't seem like the pussy type. His style is more strategic and similar to Adam's. As a matter of fact, there's something very initiativish about his entire presence.

I would love to see Buffy battle the Beast as well. What a fight that could be!

Glory was a riot. I'd love to see her go up against Angel.

Of course, I'd love it if Spike returned. He counts, right? After all, in the beginning he did fashion himself as the "Big Bad." 😉

I know this off-topic WA - but how cool would it be if Conner met Dawn? I think they'd be a match made in heaven.

As long as Twilight strives to make magic disappear Adam is the only one that makes sense to me, seeing as all the other villains belong in what I see as a magical world.

To be fair about the Master, she caught him off guard, there never was a real fight, she just surprised him and pushed him through the roof.

Based on the Master's fight against Angelus, I'd say the Master's probably at least physically stronger than Buffy, probably far less agility though.

I'd personally want to see Pike. Not that I'm a big fan, I just don't love unresolved stories. Even if we take Viva Las Buffy as canon (which it can't be since it contradicts Why We Fight), Pike's still out there loving Buffy.

The problem with having Twilight be Pike... aside from the fact that there's been no foreshadowing of his reappearance... is that most Buffy fans don't know who he is, and wouldn't recognize him. You don't want a Big Reveal that will leave a majority of the fans saying "....Who?"

Also, Pike hasn't been around Buffy since she was 15 years old and wouldn't know her as intimately as Twilight claims to.

The first evil. I personally felt that the first evil could reach more powerful then the original out cast of the first evil in season 7.
I think twilight is Glory because we don’t know her true identity and she only the strongest big bad in the Buffy verse who can left a church up …lol/😉!
