The future of the drama No Ordinary Family looks grim. That is because both stars Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz have booked pilots for other shows, which means they are betting that No Ordinary Family will not be renewed for a second season. Julie will star in an untitled supernatural medical drama as the sister of Michael (Patrick Wilson), a competitive surgeon whose life is changed forever when his ex-wife (Jennifer Ehle) dies and begins teaching him what life is all about from the hereafter. Michael Chiklis has signed on to star in the comedy pilot Vince Uncensored but full details of the show have not as yet been released.

Would you like to see NOF cancelled or would you like to see another season?

What is your reaction to the new shows Michael and Julie are involved in?

I think it's pretty much a horrible sign with both the leads going off to do other pilots. 🙁 I'm sad, 'cause I love NOF!

I love NOF... so I was really disappointed and upset to hear that both leads had taken other pilots. If (and by if, I mean when) it gets canceled, it's going to be further proof to me that ABC sucks except for Brothers and Sisters (which I have loyally watched every episode of and is also probably going to get canceled) and the Wed. comedy shows.

I actually liked No Ordinary Family. I thought it was interesting, plus, Julie Benz is such an amazing actress I just had to watch it. Unfortunately, due to my new job, I had to stop watching (though I do plan to catch up sometimes soon), because I really don't have the time anymore. 🙁 Still, I would find it very sad if they cancelled it. Maybe their parts on the other shows won't be that demanding and they'd be able to do both? Doubt it, but, I refuse to give up hope. 😛 😀

I saw the pilot of NOF and I didn't really like it. It's just not for me. I'm actually a little glad they're going to do other things...I love Julie Benz and I'd like to see her in something else!

I'm a bit torn. I won't be sad if the show get cancelled but at the same time I like the overall story. It just don't hook me the way I wish.

NOF never really hooked me. I watched the first three episodes and then just kind of forgot about it 🙁 Not a good sign that they've both been booked on other pilots. It's more than likely it's going to be cancelled, and because I was never interested in the show, I'm actually excited because I'd love to be able to watch Julie on my tv again and supernatural shows are right up my alley.

This is not a shock to be honest and while I'm not naming names, some of the main stars were even expecting it 🙁

I wasn't terribly surprised either. When I have to *force* myself to watch a show, it's a good sign that I don't really like it. But I really wanted to like it. I like the actors, I adore the idea, I just didn't find it that compelling. But I haven't watched in awhile, so maybe it got better.

Thats like me
I think putting this show up against "Glee" was probably a bad move. The time slot is a hard one. Still.... I wish they'd give them 1 more season, but it's highly unlikely now.
