Blood Bound

Re:

Wow! <picks up jaw from floor and fastens it securely back on> You're awesome! Look out Anne Rice! :whip:

Thanks you two!

And thanks to Nerd4hire for pointing such a prestigious member in my direction. 🙂

Thanks Nslaymode, I'm flattered, Anne Rice wrote 'interview with a vampire' didn't she? I remember thinking that book was incredible!

Not many more parts left now i shouldn't think.

I'm glad you've liked reading it so far, because I love writing it.

Yes this is a family board, but that's the joy of a double entendre you can argue them either way! 😉

Thanks - SlayersDestiny and Cate!

Hopefully it wont be too long before I post more...

Part Nine

The woman smiled as a new rush of pleasure washed over her mind, the trinity was in France and indulging in Drusilla's favourite tortures "“ Dru loved to hear the passion of the French language as pain loosed it in a flood. The woman smiled again as she felt Willow call forth power from the centre of her dark magic. Willow was fascinated by the moment between life and death "“ where there was no chance of survival and yet the victim has not quite reached their eternal end. Despite her vast magic she always used physical means for the final kill, she liked to revel directly in the exquisiteness of that intangible moment, where her victim's bodies trembled and then were still.

The woman called forth a transparent vision of them into the church, they were strong and passionate. Willow and Angel found much twisted physical and emotional enjoyment in each other and both were fascinated, as with all vampires and humans alike, by the enigma that was Drusilla. The vision fizzled out, she smiled her eyes lucid in the gloom. Perhaps she would command them to return "“ she longed to see her favourite child once more. There was also the issue of the slayer, she was just returning to normality, the many years heavy with sorrow and guilt had lightened. It would only be right to renew those feelings.

The trinity all snapped their heads upwards from their victims and stared into the night sky "“ they had heard the woman's call. Drusilla poked her tongue out of her mouth and tasted the quality of the air.

"She wants us back now in the gleaming, bright land of promise "“ only it gleams no longer, fear jades and tarnishes its pervious naivety." Dru said thoughtfully.

Willow smiled, sometimes the clarity of Drusilla's thoughts caught her off guard, used as she was to her insane ramblings.

"I have dreamt," Drusilla continued, "of the slayer for two nights now."

Both Willow and Angel looked quickly at her and then at each other. Willow felt a rush of remembrances of mortality. Her clothes felt wet with the rain and she grimaced, she'd not felt such a thing in a long time.

"It's the trinity," Drusilla said carrying on to herself as though there had been no pause, the other two knew better than to interrupt her. "For our dark trinity to rise a good one had to fall "“ of them it was the eldest who lost conviction, while the newest and youngest member stayed strong." She smiled at the redhead on her left, "Angel, you would not betray us?"

"There was a time you would do anything for Buffy." Willow spat the name as though it was poisoned blood.

Angel stared into the sky where the stars glowed faintly, the harsh electric lights polluting the air's clarity, "I cannot conceive how I could, how could I go from such darkness"¦" he looked back at Drusilla who was like a personification of night, "To such light as Buffy was"¦ Yet destiny is destiny "“ the stars remind me of that."

The man he had in a vice grip whimpered and stirred causing Angel to crush his fingers more tightly. He looked at Willow and Drusilla's choices who stood unbound, yet unstruggling each under a different form of hypnosis. He watched as they both were released from the invisible suffocation of their minds, his girls liked them aware of their situation as they drank the life from their victims. He smiled before biting down on his own, losing himself to the decadent substance.

Chapter Ten

Drusilla's eyes gleamed as she ran her hands through the child's hair, her pale moon-coloured fingers separating the young girl's strands. She sat down beside the child and plaited her own hair into the girl's, the golden gossamer hairs intertwined with Drusilla's black ones. Deftly, with skill akin to a mother, she unravelled the braid. The child put its round, turgid arms around Drusilla's neck.

Buffy wanted to cry out and warn the girl, there was something so wrong and unnatural in the embrace. Drusilla trailed her finger elegantly down the girl's arm, "This girl is in love with death." She said softly, "She's seen both her parents prefer its company to her own "“ so now she seeks its special silken touch. That death she finds in me."

Drusilla bit down upon the child's smooth skin, she caressed the girl's cheek where grief had placed a permanent shroud of weariness and longing for escape. She wept no tears at the pain, for she had none left to shed. Drained of her life-blood she dropped to the ground, inanimate, imitating the doll she so resembled. Her soft check was still plush and warm, her corpse retaining a shadow of life that would be chased away by the first rays of morning. A smile adorned her face.

Buffy gasped as she woke, her recent dreams had been filled with darkness but that one was different, it had been sent to her she was sure, by Drusilla. She felt used and unclean, even her dreams weren't her own. She could taste blood mixed with helplessness, as Drusilla's senses from the dream mingled with her own.

She crept to the phone, it was the middle of the night but Giles wouldn't mind. "Giles it's me Buffy."

A strange muffled sound came from his end.

"Drusilla sent me a dream."

"She did what?" He was alert now.

"A dream of an actual event, she made me a spectator I'm sure. She killed a child "“ she said the girl was "˜in love with death'."

"Will you excuse me a moment?" Giles said and then the line went dead.

Buffy held the receiver in her hands, her nail idly tracing the line of the plastic mould as she thought. What could it mean? She placed it back in its cradle and the click sounded very loudly into the sleepy silence. Slowly and as quietly as possible, like a child hoping not to wake a watchful parent, she pulled open the table drawer. She slid her hand into the blackness and pulled out a photograph. The image shimmered and blurred as tears filled her eyes, when she wiped them, she and Willow came quickly and almost too sharply into focus. They had their arms around one another, laughing, loving life. The phone rang shrilly and she quickly picked it up while guiltily shoving the photo into the drawer.

"Giles?"

"It's not good."

"When is it ever?" She replied trying to lighten the tone, but her weariness betrayed her, like water insidiously invading a sinking ship, every second she was more lost.

"The trinity as they have become known, Willow, Angel and Drusilla are back in America and most likely heading this way."

Buffy gripped the phone tightly and pressed it closer to her ear, crushing the delicate bones against her skull, "Are you sure?"

"Positive."

"Then the dream was a warning?"

"Most likely."

"We are in a lot of trouble."

"Yes I fear you are correct."

"Well thanks Giles." She said mechanically and ignored his small, faraway voice calling her name as she put the phone down. A veil of tears ran down her face as she stared at nothing.

Chater Eleven - teaser
And out of nothing stepped the Trinity, into the darkness of Sunnydale Cemetery, their dead eyes gleamed like polished marble.

What's this? Nobody is reading your stuff? Travesty!

Your recent entries were very good, as usual. Be not discouraged here, young Jaded. You still have fans here, myself included. Keep writing your fiction. You wouldn't deny us that, would you? I hope not. :: tu ::
