In the episode "Dear Boy" Kate and a group of cops storm into Angel's hotel to arrest him. When she finds that he isn't there, she orders a couple of officers to be posted outside the building in case he comes back. Near the end of the episode (the next night) there is a shot of the outside of the hotel - you can clearly see Angel's car parked outside and in the next shot he is shown sitting in his room.

How did he get in?

If Kate was so intent on catching him, would she only post officers there for one night? If they were there, how could they not notice the very man they were meant to be watching for pull up in a large black convertible and stroll in the front door?

I think you're missing out on a fundamental aspect of Kate's character. Being an L.A. detective, she and her fellow officers had all the same brilliant instructors who trained such LAPD luminaries as Det. Mark Fuhrman and Sgt. Stacey C. Koon.

After 24 hours of staking out Angels' place, they probably got bored and wandered off to find some underprivelaged junior high kids or homeless parapalegic vets to beat up.

LMFAO LazyDolphin...I really need to remember to wear the depends when I come on here...

On topic: I think it's a mistake, writers probably forgot they had someone stakin out.

Yeah, with all the hustle and bustle on set they probably weren't even paying attention. It was probably a total accident...actually I'm SURE it was...like they would really do it on purpose...

I think it was a mistake,..writers don't think we(fans) pay atention to stuff like that
ok magui, that is such an unfair comment its not that they dont care its that they have a hell of alot things to do and everyone makes mistakes and you cant blame the very people who create this show!

teleportation.

one minute... Angel's not there.
the next: WHAM. there he is. teleportation is the only way to go.

(Nah.... I'm agreeing with Lazy Dolphin. The cops probably just got bored and wandered off.)

Between bored cops and a vampire, it was probably relatively easy for him to slip in, although it probably was just a mistake by the writers, but it could be possible for him to slip by quietly. But the car would be very obvious, even if they got bored and wandered away, the cops should have noticed the car had not been there before.

I have a question, I am not sure if this is a blooper or not, but in the episode Disharmony when the gang is outside of the building with the "red bird" it shows Harmony sitting by the car waiting and the rest are talking about how they are going to get in, well the camera keeps cutting from person to person, and I noticed that on one shot it would be raining in the background and in the next it wouldnt be raining. As well as it would show harmony standing by the car and it wouldn't be raining, then only a few seconds later the camera was on her again and it was magically raining. I know, its kind of confusing, but get your dvd's out and watch the part where they are all out front of the theatre, make sure to pay attention to the background.
