Blu-Ray or DVD?

DVD Player for me...blue ray discs are too expensive over here. Same goes for a good Blue-Ray Player.

Yep! When they first started it, you had to have a Netflix disc sent to you but now all you need to do is download the Netflix channel for the Wii. 😀 I do it and it's AMAZING.

They got rid of the disc? It's about time! I thought PS3 was the only one that got rid of the disc. I'm a little slow sometimes as you can see lol

They just sent me an email last week saying we no longer needed the disc. I was so excited! :D

Since Blu-Ray players are backward compatible with DVDs, I'm open to purchasing one in the future, but I am loyal to the DVD disc format and until they are no longer among the industry standards, I'm sticking with them.

Technology marches to my beat, not the other way around. 😛😛

EDIT:

msfantastico87 agrees: that's not what happened with Skype! Technology totally won that battle. 😛

I don't see it that way, chica. I see it as Skype not being ready for the experience of the OM3.0. 😛

Back to the subject...I just want to add that I still use CRT TV's and using Blu-Ray discs wouldn't matter anyway, since you need higher resolution monitors these days (there goes that pesky technology buzzing around our ears again....)

I talked it over with my husband, and showed him the player I am wanting to get, and I think we're gonna go for it. I'll pick one of these babies up as soon as we get paid our bonus money.

I definitely will. 😀 We have a few DVDs that came with the Blu-Ray disc as well, so I'll watch it on the Blu-Ray player to see the difference when we get it. 😀
