Board Appreciation

(I hope Darla doesn't mind me using gifs to illustrate my points here, but I thought it would be fun, and also a reminder of why we are all here: we love this silly little show to the point of discussion. It's that simple. We don't remember that enough 😉 )

I could spend days going through all the reasons this board is as important to me as it is. I could spend another few days explaining how it frustrates the Hell out of me, too. But, that would just bore you all and I'd eventually just become overwrought (me? overwrought? Shocking, I know! 😛 ) so instead I will express my feelings on BB with some help from our friends...

BB is hard work. For the members, but especially the mods. The crap we put each other through is unfathomable to me. Quite often I read posts or threads here and exhibit expressions such as...

But then there are those shining moments of AWESOME where we have so much fun together, where we remember that this a place for joy and I fee like this...

Those times are so good they out weigh the bad exponentially. Even this thread, in the midst of a lot of drama does wonders for morale and helps everyone remember why we come here, even when the place drives us insane.

And lets face it, Spuffies be crazy. 😛 😉

In sum: that'll do BB. That'll do.

That is most certainly NOT what you said in last month's Adopt-A-Bangel meeting. In fact, I remember you breaking into tears when we pinned the badge on you and gave you the Secret Oath. You can pretend and protest all that you want to here on the Boards, but we got the whole thing on record. You have a permanent place in the Spuffy Archives.

I want to say that I also appreciate the members. I read through this entire thread and I'm like, "Aww, everybody is so cute."

Without members, there wouldn't be any interesting threads, there wouldn't be any interesting posts, there wouldn't be any colorful banners for people to see and like. Heck, without members there wouldn't be any staff members here. 😀

I also appreciate the Spuffies of BB. I know that I have been vocal about my dislike for Spuffy in more than a few threads and I'd like to recognize them for being the good sports that they are. You guys make me smile too. :grouphug:

This being my first and only foray into forum land, I have to say that I have been impressed by the board itself, the staff, and 99% of the members. I love the features, the many different threads and topics, and my dorm! (VH, baby!!)

I also have to give some special love to the chat. I've met some awesome friends there, and I now talk to them pretty much every day. Such fun people and I love talking to them and seeing how their days are going. It's just a happy place!

I love this board! I come here pretty much every day. I guess I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but even when I don't say anything I love to read everybody's opinions in the various interesting threads here 🙂

BB is the very first forum I ever joined, and its the only forum I am a member of now. I feel like I don't need to go anywhere else, this place has everything I need 🙂

I adore my dorm, and I have made some really great friends here. I love the fact that we don't just talk about Buffy, but anything and everything 🙂 I love that so many people here don't just share my love of Buffy but are into a lot of the same tv shows, music, books, movies etc. that I'm into and its awesome discussing that stuff with you guys.

I really appreciate everything Darla and the rest of the staff do here to keep this place running. :You_Rock_

I've always been impressed by how friendly, laid back and just plain awesome the people here are and I'm totally proud to be a member :heart:

I love BB

- Because the people are great
- Because it's amazing to still actively talk about these shows, even tough they ended quite a long time ago now
- Because it's amazing to get to talk to people from *all over the globe*
- Because the way I see it, this place is far more positive and welcoming that many others boards I've been on. Sure, there are apparently some tension, but as a whole, there really isn't much to complain about
- Because thanks to the board, I find it easier to express my opinion on a subject, and it also allows me to actually have a real opinion instead of just agreeing with everybody without really knowing what I think
- Short version, because the board= :heart: :heart: :heart:

Not one for uber positivity but the fact that I'm still here after a year or so goes to show I clearly appreciate this site. With forums I'm indifferent with I tend to forget about them and leave them, yet I still check here every day. So yeah, cheers.

I love this board for lots of reasons. Firstly because of how its run, the staff are incredible, they work really hard at keeping the place fresh and interesting and I think the fact that the board has lasted 10 years and been successful, really shows that. Secondly the majority of members, there friendly, there's always new theads to discuss in or old threads that debates still happen in.

Also the massive amount of choice that were given from av's to skins to how were feeling etc. The dorms are also great, even though I mainly just lurk, its still fun to read what's going on. I also really enjoy the news letter that's posted every month.

Its just a really nice place to come after a long day at work 🙂

I don't get to post as much as I'd like to but my favorite thing so far is all the art tutorials. They have helped me learn the basics of photoshop and working with Buffy images keeps my interest longer then most videos I find on Youtube. So thank you all for those wonderful lessons.

Oh man... I wish I could list all the things I love about BB! I've only been here for less than a year, and I feel like I've been a part of it forever. I've made so many amazing friends who I would have never met, I love the dorms, I love The Bronze, I love the overall community and being able to talk about my favourite show as much as I want, I love the mods so much for creating BB in the first place and keeping it alive, and ugh... I love just everything. There isn't anything that I really dislike about this place. I've been on plenty of forums before BB, but none of them have ever stuck to my heart as much as BB has. It's truly a home away from home. I love it here. ::heart:: ::heart::

I love that people actually care about each other. I got a really nice PM making sure I wasn't going anywhere because of the drama and, though I never thought about leaving, it was a cute gesture that reinforced(sp??) my love for this board and the memebrs 🙂

I love coming and talkIng to you all not only about Buffy but other weird and wonderful things. When I joined the board I only expected to find more info out about Buffy, I didn't realise I'd enjoy talking to lots of lovely people I've never met. It's also reintroduced me to a lot of things I used to love in the past and had neglected. BB is probably one big reason why I don't feel as stressed about things because I know I can come here and chill out for a bit 🙂. I'm also extremely grateful that the boards are staying open.

As i have only been on BB for 2 months i have found people on here are very helpful and friendly and welcoming 🙂
I enjoy the threads and different questions people come up with all about our shared interest
I enjoy seeing other peoples Banners and artwork.
Most of all I like that this is my Buffy escape (and distraction) from the worries of real life.

I don't post much, I am much more of a lurker by nature. But I love this place. I enjoy all of the art and discussions on eps that we get into. I love being able to ask questions about things on Buffy. My evenings would have a hole in them with out this board.
