Board is Back Online

As those of you who follow us on Twitter already know, the board's server was hit by a DDoS attack on Sunday night/Monday morning. The server was offline while the host restored a backup of the site. There doesn't appear to be any data lost but if any posts are missing it is because they were made after the backup was made on Sunday.

Ah ok, I did wonder what was happening. Those DDoS attacks are becoming quite popular these days aren't they? Or perhaps they're just talked about more as they affect bigger sites.

I blame myself. No, I'm not the one who put it in here. Lately I've thinking of stuff and they happen. Really. I was just thinking about DDoS attack, and what if the the forum is gone because of it, I would have felt so lost. Then it happened.... It's a thing lately.

Glad the board is back... I figured there was some kind of issue, and then the posts on Facebook and Twitter confirmed it for me. YAY for getting it worked out!

Nope there's nothing to be done. Unless you can make all people who use the internet maliciously suddenly see the error of their ways 😉

Perhaps a behavior modification chip would be the best method; does anyone know of any secret government laboratories we can look into?
