Bombing in Oslo kills 7; up to 25 feared dead in shooting

I saw it on Twitter some days ago. The women deserves praise I'm just not sure if the lack of publicity is based on them being lesbians as many seem to think. Had it been a "story" if it were two friends or a straight married couple that wasn't getting a lot of attention. Have everyone heard about the german tourist for example? But they do get attention now but I hope the couple doesn't care one way or another to be honest.

I think there'll be time for all the individual stories of courage later, but until Breivik is tried then people need to grieve first. Sometimes the gay community can be too quick to claim credit on the part of its members- I guess it's a habit formed in times when homosexuality was invisible in society, not seen and not talked about.

The WBC is the worst demonstration of what can be misconstrued as Christianity I've ever heard of, and they should all be completely ashamed of themselves. They should do nothing but atone. Why picket funerals of people who've died in things like this, and war, and the like? That's NOT God's work.

That being said, this is a tremendous tragedy. My heart goes out to those families and loved ones. It's heartbreaking to learn that the human spirit is capable of such disgusting behavior as to kill one another in senseless acts of violence.

This whole thing is heartbreaking. All those poor people killed in cold blood. 🙁 God bless them and their families, and God bless the country as they try to pick up the pieces and move past this together.

It's been incredibly moving to se how people stand together now in an effort to follow the prime minister's call for more democracy and humanity. Inadvertently, the creep created a foundation for a bridge that our community has needed for a while. I hope we will prove strong enough to build it, when the flowers have quoted, the candles burned down and our days begin to return to normal.

Generally, flowers wilt more often than they quote. I'm not quite used to the autocorrect yet.

It's to be hoped that the Norwegian immigration authorities have enough warning and information to be able to refuse the Westboro Baptist people admission to the country in the interests of keeping the peace- or at the very least warn them that if there's a single complaint they're on the next plane home.
