I have a region-free dvd player too. But everytime I buy different region dvd's I end up buying the Region 1 dvd's too. I like to be able to watch them anywhere. I bought seasons 3-7 of BTVS from UK, and then ended up buying "The Chosen Collection" from US. I waste too much money.

True, but you usually get more features (like that Seth Green audio commentary on som ep and such, on BtVS I mean)..

Yay I can't wait for Bones to come out on DVD, this show is brilliant, Oh and on the whole UK getting DVD's earlier, I'm still waiting for Veronica Mars 🙁
The first season of David Boreanaz's hit show comes to region 2 DVD on August 7th. No word yet on special features.The box art is also up over there.

I can't believe the release date was put back till the 2 October, 2006. I'm glad its now, not that far away 🙂
I missed the first few episodes. I only got into the show after the series had aired a couple of episodes, so it will be fun to watch how it all started 🙂

Now you know how we feel when the shows are aired in the US first before the come to the UK.
Carousel Girl - If you have a multi-region dvd player you can get R1 dvds (i.e. both seasons of VM) at playusa.com its a UK based site and delivery is free.
Although i've had friends had some extra customs charges for boxsets over a certain price, i've not experienced it though.

Actually, you don't need a multi-region DVD player to play VM. The "region 1" DVDs aren't region coded (even though they are supposed to be), so you can play them on a region 2 player as well..
We had to pay quite a lot extra when we went to get our DVDs though, but it was well worth it 🙂
(And this is Sweden, so I don't know if you'd have to pay as much..)
Really? Cool, mine is multi anyway.
The only thing is you can't buy R1 in most stores, I found one in London but you have to pay through the ear for them, which I did do for Tristin & Isolde.

Season one r2 is out on either oct 30th or oct 9th depending on which you believe play.com uk(the later date) or dvd mag.So Fox what is going on! Grrr! at least you usa'ers get it first and earlier!

Yup, Ash told me about it and I bought them and can play them on my iBook, which only has R2 dvd player 🙂
(Will definitely get a multi region one the day I buy a TV and real DVD player though.)
I know season 1 R2 is out soon, but will it be as pretty as the R1 boxes? Heh, they usually aren't 🙁
