Does anyone know of any good books for 13 year olds to read? My English teacher is stressin' cause none of us read even though I read the paper everyday! Can you name any good books that ain't borin and that you can get into quite easily. They have to be fiction too and I've got 2 weeks to read it so I have to do a book review. Thanks.

the Fearless series is good, by Francine Pascal

The Harry Potter series, for sure. They sound stupid, but they're real page-turners. They're by J.K. Rowling, and there are 4 books out. It works better if you read them in order.

I've read loads of Buffy books but I'm talking about books that aren't that well known but are good and for my age good or a big older.

😀 how could I forget about the buffy books? ones I recommend are the Tales of the Slayer vol 1 & 2, they are really good, but kinda sad in a way

Mick Harte Was Here by Barbara Park --- maybe that's more for an 11 year old, but I'm almost 16 and I still read it every now and then.🙂 There is no way you cannot like this book.

Tiger Eyes --- My sister says she was around 13 when she read this book, and says you'd probably like it.

If you like fantasy or science fiction, I highly recommend The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. It's one of my favorites. I also love Brave New World by Aldous Huxley but it really depends on what genre you prefer.

If you like mysteries, I'd recommend the author Lois Duncan. She sometimes goes in for paranormal or psychological twists.

Umm we read Brave New World for AS Level....

Brave New World is a great book....might I suggest 'Salems Lot...by Stephen King.....one of his best in my eyes
