Books

Moving on you two....
If you have to read a novel then I'm no help, but we read the plays "An Inspector Calls" and "Of Mice and Men" as set texts; they only take about an hour to read, and so you can re read, and they also tend to give a bit about he background the both; Of mice and men is fictional, but set during the depression in America, so there's a bit of fiction and fact to talk about. I'm just trying to find what novels we read in the earlier years, what was expected etc. Feels like it's been years. Well it has but..yeh...

of mice and men is great! I had to read that last year, a major don't read: Cold Sassy Tree, and Huck Finn! both very evil books

But Of Mice and Men is pretty sad and has a depressing ending so if you're in for a happy book, I really don't suggest it. Depressing books can be good, but only if you're in the mood for it... Speaking of depressing, Girl Interrupted is a wonderful book (IMO)!
