Boreanaz to be in fourth crow film

E! Online (http://www.eonline.com) reports that "Angel" star David Boreanaz and Tara Reid have signed to star in a fourth "Crow" movie for Dimension Films, which will be titled "Wicked Prayer."

Didn't know that there was a third Crow movie? Neither did he. "I didn't even know there was a third [Crow movie]," the actor told TV Guide.

Yup - here's some more on "Wicked Prayer"...

and Tara Reid plays his love interest!

this is from scifi.com...
David Boreanaz, who plays the villainous Luc Crash in the upcoming sequel film The Crow: Wicked Prayer, told SCI FI Wire that his character is the foil for Edward Furlong's vengeful spirit. The script, by director Lance Mungia and Crow franchise producer Jeff Most, is "just loaded with material you can have fun with," Boreanaz said in an interview at a comic convention in Los Angeles.

Boreanaz (The WB's Angel) plays Crash, a biker gang leader who has a history with Furlong's character, Jimmy Cuervo. "They're two buddies that grew up together, but fell apart somewhere, because of a love triangle around this girl, Lily [Emmanuelle Chriqui], who was an Indian," Boreanaz said. "So there are a lot of racial elements to it. There's a lot of angst between miners and Indians and casinos. It brings together so much vulnerability and conflict."

Crash is "a Bible-Belt kind of victim in prison," Boreanaz said. "He has this gang of four"”the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. ... Tara Reid plays my love interest as far as my relationship is concerned with the gang members." Dennis Hopper plays El Nino, "the guy who pretty much turned me into Satan," Boreanaz added.

Boreanaz said that he's "really looking forward" to working with Hopper and Mungia (Six-String Samurai). Now that Angel is wrapping up its fourth season, Boreanaz won't have much down time before starting Wicked Prayer. "We start shooting in June," he said. "We're shooting in Utah."

Haven't seen any of the Crow movies, but I will if David's gonna star in one, but I dunno wether it's true there have been some foilers of him being the next Superman and after that the next Batman.

So what's the Crow about?

I dont actually know what its about cos i aint seen them either but i know that bruce lee's son was in the first one but died during the making of it. It was a prop gun which was loaded with real bullets and no one knew so he got shot.

I think you can count on this one. I don't think it's high-profile enough to be 'foiler-worthy'.

For what it's worth, I think DB gets tied to auditions for WB's superhero movie properties 'cuz he's one of their TV network stars. The rumors are probably part of his Angel contract 😉, and enforce DB's image as a rising leading man. Besides... every male actor in Hollywood under 50 and over 5'6" has read for Superman or Batman by now... it's hardly noteworthy anymore.

On "The Crow"...
This is based on a Dark Horse comic. "The Crow" is a mystical bird that returns the soul of the unjustly-dead to exact vengeance on their killers and bad-guys at large.

The undead hero takes the same name, and sort of has a "Matrix-meets-Alice Cooper" black leather and makeup look when in full mode. At other times, he/she may look like a tired, haunted human. The Crow is fairly impervious to permanent injury, and has the ability to deliver the pain someone has caused as their punishment.

Was it really based on the Dark Horse comic, or was it the other way around?

I didn't even think Dark Horse was a company when The Crow first hit the theatre's, was it?
