According to "The Watcher's Guide: Volume Two" Vamp!Willow said "Bored now" in "The Wish" during season three.

It couldn't have been a quote from "Villains" since that came out after this book was published, let alone written.

Was this a known fact, and am I just late? Or did everyone else never notice this, too?

Yep, Vamp!Willow was the first to utter those infamous words. I think she repeated them to our Willow in 'Dopplegangland' which is where Willow heard them and repeated them. Or maybe I'm just making that up, lol.

Yeah, you must have just missed it before. I think it was actually from "Dopplegangland" but that quote was definitely originally from season 3 of Buffy with Vamp Willow. The other time the expression was used it was just a callback.

Yes, it definitely is from both "The Wish" and "Doppelgängerland". To be exact, in "The Wish" Vamp!Willow says it when she and Vamp!Xander are talking to Cordelia before they bite her and in "Doppelgängerland" she says it before she throws that guy (Perry?) across a billard table.

Evil!Willow saying "Bored now" in S6 is an homage. Or, you know, just every time Willow turns evil she's getting bored pretty fast.

Indeed.
Yeah, it was definitely from season three.
It's just a small error, nothing to freak out about.
😛

As in error, I meant that the quote didn't originally come from "Villians."
I got myself all confused, but I couldn't agree more.

Can't it be both? 😉 Plus what others have said not so much that she's bored per say (even if she of course is bored) but to show that this is indeed another Willow than the one we're used too.

The beauty of "Bored Now" works on so many levels. In the context, it establishes that Evil Willow is psychotic. It also links season 3 to season 6 and shows that there's a consistency to Willow, that the Evil Willow is a part of the good Willow, whether vamp or black-eyed witch or just meek little Willow who knows on some level that she's smarter and more powerful than everyone in the room. But all that aside, the main thing is that it's scary when a psycho is bored. The first time I heard her say it in "The Wish" it jolted me. I'm getting goose bumps now just talking about it.
