Box art for BR and DVD of season one.

Very elegant, with a touch of chilling. I like the images of the plain, featureless mannequins in some of the publicity photos for the show.

Both are boring.

The BR I can get used to but it's so plain even the typography is bad.

The standard looks way worse espicially on the cutting of Eliza.

There is a very fine line between minimalistic elegance and just plain boring. I think the BR manages to fall on the right side of the line. The DVD....doesn't. It's just a shame the Blu-Ray boxes are so damned ugly. And blu. Who thought that was a good idea?

I dont really like it...its to simple and doesnt look like it will make people look at it twice. They shouldve gone with a cast photo or something.

But frankly I want the special edition thats going to be at comiccon but sadly I wont be able to be there for it.

I doubt it. They made the box art probably before the last two episodes which havent done that well. So its still anyones game when it comes to renewal.

it probably took 10-20 minutes to make this.
Its an alright cover, a little plain but I don't really care what the cover looks like. Its what's inside that matters 😉

I don't really like the font, or the design. 😛 But I know that UK covers are sometimes different, like the Dexter DVDs (I prefer the Region 1 covers), so maybe it'll be different when it's released here.

I think this art looks better than a picture of the cast would have looked. Whenever I see a cast picture, unless it's what I'm looking for, I skip over it because it's too much to just glance at. I figure the fact that her rack is nice and...nice, in that pic, people may at least look twice.

Agreed. And I adore your sig. :D
I don't think it's to bad.
A little plain but simple can be good. I don't think it's the best picture of Eliza but it's very sriking, as is the all black and white colours which will at least make it stand out a little.
I'm sure the UK one will probably be different, but I wouldn't mind if it was this one.
...not that I care anyway, I'll be buying it regardless of the case!

The art is "plain" I guess you could say but I LOVE that picture, it's simple but it grabbed my attention when the photos were released a couple of months ago, it also looks pretty elegant IMO. I'm happy with it. The photos with the whole cast that have been released so far would make terrible box art.

Are they making a statement about BR's quality by making Eliza's colours in the DVD so dull?

Cant wait to get the BR though, hope they add more extras than the DVD though like they did with Serenity/Firefly.

I did notice that, but couldn't think of a reason why they'd done it. Now it all makes sense. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if this was the new BR marketing ploy.
