I'm not a Spuffy fan, but the video is well made. It makes Buffy and Spike's relationship look more romantic than it is.

Interesting! I don't see them as romantic at all, and you know I'm a high Spuffy fan! But what I think this vid does well is show how complicated and authentic their connection was.

This one set to You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC is pretty funny.
 
I just recently came across this Spuffy mv, and was really impressed by it. I'm not into Spuffy, but this went onto my playlist. I'm surprised that it's been around for years but gotten so few views, so I thought to share it here:


As a warning, it includes the really negative stuff they've done to each other, as well as the love, affection, and lust. I wouldn't call it wholesome, but I thought it was very good, if tragic (and it can't be tragic without the good).

Still, I probably process it differently as someone not particularly into the ship, so I don't know if Spuffies will be less inclined to like it than I did, or even more inclined to liking it...but in either case I figured it was worth sharing, just in case Spuffies also like it. The title might be a turn off, but complements what Spike says at the very end (as well as Buffy in season 6).

I mean no ill will by sharing this. I do not mean this to be an attack on Spuffy. I actually gained a new appreciation for the story from this vid even if I haven't converted to Spuffy. (And for the record, I'm not a Bangel, either, and get tired of that assumption.)

Part of the power of the tragedy was how REAL it felt (which inevitably comes with pain and regret, and heartbreaking or tragic if it lasts long enough) in spite of its fantastical elements. It evoked memories of times I had more passion than sense, or just wrong time and place, which made me a lot more sympathetic to them both. And I know at least some just love tragic love stories (just look at the popularity of Romeo & Juliet, and countless country songs), and surely any fan of Whedon must have some tolerance, if not appreciation, for the tragic love. So I hope it's appreciated, at least gives no offense.

And I wanted to do something about this vid having so few views.
 
Ooh, I love fan vids. Thanks for posting! I have not seen this one. It's pretty good! The song is great too. I agree about Spuffy feeling real, that's the appeal for me. Spuffy is messy and complicated. Like real life relationships.

This is one of my favorites. I think this song is really fitting for their relationship.
