How are your breakups? angsty, and very angry change of words with an open discussion, lots of tears and you get out very hurt, or in a peacefull, civilized way that both know your doing the right thing? just curious about what different ways a person can breakup without hurt the other one..if that is possible..

They do the dirty and then I try to stay calm and stuff til I'm by myself then I cry! It's not nice. I just don't like them to see that I'm hurting.

One of my boyfriends broke up with me over text message and I was so hurt but then he apologised for being a prat and we're friends now. I end up being friends with most of my exboyfs cos I don't like things being strange between us!

The only break up that I've had that ended in me not being friends with the guy was when he broke up with me and then said "it's ok though... we can just have casual sex!" I almost killed him! Needless to say... he didn't get what he wanted!

I have had my share of rough breakups, which is sad, since I always believed that there is no reason why people can't stay friends after a breakup (not friends with benefits, but legitimate friends), unless cheating was involved. Then it is understandable that emotions can be hurt enough to prevent a lasting friendship. Friendship is trust, trust that you can share yourself with another person and they can accept you for all your strengths and weaknesses, and appreciate what makes you individual and special. It is a sad states that real life doesn't get to work out with that kind of neat and tidy format. Several of my ex's are also ex-friends. They were angry because we broke up and didn't care that the breakup was to preserve the friendship. That kind of selfish all or nothing attitude has ended the chance of what could have been great friendships. It wasn't like I didn't treat them well, they just felt bruised egos and got angry.
One started do to me what she did with all her boyfriends (ignored them and made them come to see her only, no call, no show). That was the only time I have never broken up with a person in person, and in fact, I didn't say a word to her. I stopped showing up. Instead of swallowing her pride, she never called to see what was going on, she just took it to heart (which was kinda the point) and decided that I was being distant (she was the master of the obvious). We had a great thing, I was more than content to see where we were going in the relationship, but she wanted to play games. I don't. Ever.
I talked to her roommate about the situation after the ex and I saw each other around after all this time. (She sent her roommate to find out what happened.) I explained my position (why should I be the only one to call or come over, Why does she want me to prove my love EVERY SINGLE DAY, something I actually like to do on my own terms, not because someone is forcing the issue down my throat. Etc.) Even her best friend agreed with me that she was just playing an annoying game, and had spent a long time pissed off that it backfired in her face (yes, I am suppose to feel like an *ss for not playing along).
Relationships are a wonderful thing, as you have your life enriched by others and can enrich others lives, in turn. I understand (and enjoy the "games" of discovery that we play when we first start a relationship. It is just time to stop playing and take the other person into account when you decide to take it to the next level.

depends on why we're breaking up
if the dog cheated then its get the hell out of my house and very angry till i'm alone then i break down and cry but if its like nothing like that but something else like with me and my last bf then i'll just sit there and cry for hours.... even in front of the guy its weird

My 1st bf-there was no real break-up,but I made sure not to see him after what he tried to do to me...2nd one thought I was cheating on him(and I wasn't,but I was avoiding him for 3 weeks,so another case of my fault)

Hmm...must be in the air...all this breakup stuff...every breakup I have had (three to be exact) was not my decision. I suffered much heartache on all three. Not to say that it didn't happen for a reason though...looking back I am so happy I didn't end up with boyfriend number 2...yuick! lol

Seriously though, my breakups have been all heartache with lots of tears. It always ends with me trying to save something that probably isn't worth saving anyway...

Wel I always put too much trust into relationships and it always goes against me. Most of the time boys go behind my back. U can't trust nobody anymore im on a brake from teh relationship world!

i've only been into2serious relationships. the firt one ended because ahe thought i was too sweet and caring for her, and she wanted a more "bad boy" fun...witch i'm not...i didn't really shout and break stuff, but i'm steel very angry at her, even after 1year.
the second one ended worse that the other. she decided i'm not the guy for her, that she wanted more edge, and she "traded" me for other jerk. now then i really have a huge discussion. but in the end of both i guess i just shhut my mouth and walk away. there are some good girls out there who can like a "secure" and romantica guy like me....i hope...but i'll never chage myself for someoneelse.

I think my conartist psychotic "i fake my death then send friends to kill you" break up was pretty bad. I don't wanna have to type it all again, but most people know what I'm talking about.
