Bring back one dead character

Season 8 spoileryness:
Giles

Just wanted this character to have some kind of happiness. That never really happened in the show or the continuation of the show.

There was much miserableness. 🙁

I think Fred. As much as I love Illyria, I miss Fred. She didn't deserve to die.
Or Joyce. Every Slayer needs her mum.

Fred is my choice as well.
Tara. Every other death was justified in some form or other in terms of their character development. I thought Tara had a lot more to give and I'm a little annoyed she was pretty much used as a plot device rather than a character.

Wesley I think when he died he was ok with it as a character, he had realized he had betrayed angel and hated himself for it and the love of his life was dead he seemingly embraced death. I would like him alive cause I think it would of been interesting to see how he dealt with surviving when he seemed to feel he should of died.

Holden Webster.

Because it would have been great to have an intelligent Big Bad who wasn't suffering some kind of messianic delusion.

If it has to be just one character, I would say Cordie, primarily because, as a Higher Being, it wouldn't technically be bringing anyone back from the dead, which Joss has done to...excuse me... death. As much as I'm sure that Faith is going to try, I think that Cordie is the ONLY one who would stand any real chance of getting Angel up off of his brooding a** and back in the game on a permanent basis. Buffy loves Angel too much (see, Bangels, even a Spuffy shipper can say it) to ever be harsh enough on him to ever get any results, and Faith just plain feels too much loyalty and downright devotion to him to ever really get the job done. Cordie is Angel's only real chance to get back on the road to redemption.

That's not saying that I wouldn't love to see Tara, Wes, or Fred come back, but I have to say that, of all of those who have passed on, Cordelia Chase would be the most useful and valuable resurrection candidate.

Besides which, I really want to see her reaction to Angel's naming a dragon after her, and a cat fight between a werewolf and a Higher Being with Ol' Broodie as first prize would be hilarious.

Especially with Buffy and Spike cheering them on from the sidelines.

**Spoilers for Angel and Faith**

The first page of Angel and Faith got leaked, and Angel is already over killing Giles, on his own. Although I would agree it would be awesome to have Cordy back, although something tells me Joss won't agree with me 😛

Yes, but I said that Cordie would bring Angel back ON A PERMANENT BASIS. We don't know for sure that that's happened so far.

Spoiler tags please!
Doyle. He was such an interesting character and we barely got to see into his past. He had so much more to do and he would have made the show 10x better.

It seems like he was really only there to hand over the visions to Cordy, so that she could have more depth. Still...that could have been done without his death. Which brings up another thought. Cordy should have never died. Huge mistake IMO.

Doyle Karma!!
Doyle. After watchig his death scene for the first time, I spent the rest of that episode and the next one waiting for Joss Whedon to magically bring him back. I felt like Doyle still had a lot to teach Angel. Plus, he was just awesome.

Another vote for Doyle I just feel he was taken far too quickly and had a lot more to give.

**Season 9 spoilers**

It's pretty obvious by the leaked page that Angel is over Giles. He's back to fighting demons and even says something to the effect that he snapped his neck like a twig. He's back permanently and won't be going back to his depression we saw at the end of season 8. Faith's commentary even tells the reader that Angel is back, and (paraphrasing) she say's he's one of the only people who can move on so quickly. I like the idea of Cordelia coming back though

reasons to shove a pointy stick through the Bad Hair Dude: add one.
This is too easy, Tara. I think that death was just too heartbreaking.

If Spike hadn't come back, it would have been him though.

Cordelia! Because Angel needs her back with him, and this would complicate all the ships even more, bahahaha! 😉

OH and she's awesome!

Um . . . um . . . .

I'm going to cheat and say 2 names. Fred and Wesley. They need to be together for more than a week. They deserve that.

Fred. Even after S8, she still wins out against
Giles
, because the whole total annihilation of her soul thing just really, really gets to me. :bawling:
