Bring Buffy Back Petition

And have you actually talked to any of the actors? i may not have, but i am sure it would be a yes from most of them, they all said that they enjoyed making it. A movie would be great, a new series even, but seeing season 8 on tv as a series, wouldnt any of you enjoy that?


Actually, the actors have been talked to. Marsters has said that he would love to reprise Spike, but only as long as he can still look like a 25 year old man. Eliza has said that she would work with Joss "anytime" (well, think "Doll House"). Those are the only ones who I know for certain have made a statement one way or another, except for the "Ripper" movie.

The bad thing is that both Sarah and David have no desire to reprise their roles unless it would be on the large screen, so that pretty much ends the story for Buffy unless the roles are recast, the same as franchises such as James Bond, Tarzan, or Sherlock Holmes, to name three, and I personally don't think the fans are ready for that yet.

Some sort of animated series or movie is a possibility, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it.

About the only really viable solution would be, as I and others have said before, is some sort of spinoff along the lines of "Ripper" or a completely new story with new actors.

If that is how you feel then fine, but from what you are saying, you don't seem to want BtVS back.
That is fine by me, but if you could hold all your reasons for stopping the petition before we have even had a chance to get our message through, that would be great.

I am not saying that it will work but if it does, then havn't we gained something? Wouldn't you like to have the gang back?
If not, there are quite a few of us who would, and maybe you could even give it a chance, so, please think it through.
I know you think it a bad thing to have them back, and you think that now-a-days tv graphics cannot take a few years off actors, and that if we get the petition through then all the original actors would be disgusted at being asked to be in the new series, and that they couldn't make a plot suit to hide some of the years on the actors that the graphics couldn't take off, but, you would be suprised.

If you dont want to sign it, don't ruin it for everybody else, just ignore the petition or ignore the thread,but please, but don't spoil it for everybody who would like BtVS back.

Hmm, no GATEGOD, I'm not BringBuffyBack - no idea who that actually is in real life, all I know is I admire what they are doing, and think it's a great idea. Someone has to stand up for what we want right? And often, people wont do it to start with,..., But people will stand up if others are with them.
