I liked seeing Riley back in 'As You Were'. He said some sweet things. If Riley did come back, and I wouldn't mind, I just wouldn't want him to get back together with Buffy. That would screw up everything. The things he said at the end of 'As You Were' really made me like him again. I spent so much of Season 5 hating him, (as I am sure lots of others also did) but I'm not even sure why anymore. The writers made it kind of easy for us to hate him. When they brought him back with Sam, that's the way I felt it should be. Riley and Sam. Buffy and, well, not Riley.

Riley was... OK. But definitely a stand-in, a rebound man. I thought it was appropriate that he came back married.

Oh god please, do not bring him back, As You Were was the most god awful episode last season, I sincerely wished that Riley had gotten tossed out of the helo from 5,000 feet, that would have made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
