I never vote for these types of things, I mean I hardly vote in public elections because I'm one of those people who believes my vote means nothing in the grand scheme... anyway, I voted for Diversity. I honestly thought they were the most talented group of dancers I have ever seen in my life and I am really glad they won. Susan Boyle definately was a surprise, and a very good singer, but I think it was more the surprise factor that won her over with everyone.

So congrats to Diversity.

WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

My vote totally paid off!! I wanted Diversity to win the moment they first auditioned!! I was soo happy they won!!

Can't wait to see them at the live shows! 😀 (Yes i'm sad, i'm going to it 😛 )

I would SOOO see them live. Trouble is, it would be over pretty quick wouldnt it? Maybe see them in a play or something, that would be cool.

ha i'm going too in july ;D
I'm so glad Diversity won. I was rooting for them since I saw their first audition.

I was never all that impressed by Susan Boyle, but props to her for making it through and coming second.

Anyone see last night's show? Makes me wonder if perhaps for next year there shouldn't be a minimum age.

I don't watch Britain's Got Talent (I guess that could have a teensy little something to do with the fact that I'm, well, American), but I have to say...THANK GOD SUSAN BOYLE DIDN'T WIN! Urgh, that woman was so overexposed. We get it, she was ugly with a funny attitude and had a semi-decent singing voice...must you shove it into our faces every five seconds?!

Well its about time a group won this competition and not another singer or solo dancer. Im so freakin' happy for Diversity, they deserved it more than anything, they work so hard and give us an amazing performance!

Although Susan Boyle is good Im so glad she didn't win shes been way too over exposed in all of this, thank god Britain saw sense and went for the true talent of the night.

I was talking to my sister who got here today, she tells me its crazy in the US right now, she's getting media attention all over the place. I'm even more glad she didn't win... it proves the British public were willing to vote talent in a talent competition!

eh, well in all fairness, ive never seen the show. i take your word for it and those vids are cuet
I watched their act again and again and they were flawless, the changes to the red hats and where did that superman dude come from.

I did vote for Susan, I saw her from the start and though yeah Elaine Paige whatever. I do kinda feel for her becuase after 40 odd years of being anonymous and then the whole world is watching, I would break down to. I had thought the top three would be Susan, Diversity and Holly. Holly I had written off then she had to sing a song from Phantom.

Well if you know me you know what Phantom means to me. As well as Two Grand for obvious reasons, I would have loved the chance to do that with my Grandpa. They were never going to win but to look back and to say you did that with someone you loved, well that to me means more than anything.

2 Grand where especially beautiful. In fact, its one of the reasons I love this show to see something like that.
Shaheen had always been my favourite but I have to say that I think it is fair that Boyle didn't win. Her initial story and the reaction she got when she auditioned was the truly awesome aspect of her, not her talent. I do feel for her though, she was bulit up so highly...she must feel shattered right now.

I am pleased that Diversity won because I like them, alot, however I would have been pleased if Susan Boyle won too.

Was she the greatest singer in the world? No (but she wasn't too far away from being really good) BUT she is a message of hope.

Through out BGT you have the 20 year olds who make comments like 'This is my last chance, if I don't do it now, I never will' - well Susan Boyle proves that you don't have to be stunning, you don't have to achieve everything by 21, you don't even have to be that well liked (she has often said - which has been backed up by neighbours - that people mocked her in her community, they laughed at her and ridiculed her) you just have to persevere and maybe, someday things will fall into place - you just need hope.

I am perfectly happy with 'hope' being over exposed when you consider the fact that for years we have had nothing but the bad side of life dominating our TV screens in the news or on chat shows.

I hope both these acts go on to have very prosperous careers.

Just look at the audience before she started singing at her audition...they looked apalled by her. People needed her story, but I feel it became too big.

They'll all go on to be prosperous im sure. I think 'hope' has been 'over-exposed' for quite a while though, TV eats it up! I think Paul Potts already won that 'vote'.

Completely agree 100%
Although I did vote Susan Stavoros Flatley were very good, they made me laugh for the right reasons. Out of all the talent shows I like this the best because of the diversity (no pun intended).

To be honest Susan didn't seem her true self tonight, she did her signing but in the interview she seemed deflated. End of the day she had made it whatver. The guy with the trumpet was also good, I really liked him too.

But yes I loved Susan and her story and her voice (i'm a theatre girl), I acknowledge that Diversity really were amazing and kudos to them.

I LOVE Stavros Flatley. xD

I thought Susan looked medicated at first, and I wouldn't have been surprised if she was. But then, the look of pure relief on her face when the winner was announced and it was all over... it was all pressure. I have to say, when she was standing on stage physically shaking and twitching at the end, I was very uncomfortable watching. It's disgusting the pressure she's been put under by the media. But her reaction to Diversity when they won was totally humble and very admirable.

I was trying to think of the right word when she did her initial interview. There was no hint of her usual personality, she just seemed subdued and deflated. If the comments this past week are true, especially by that 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge are true then it is disgusting. She has had 40 odd years living her life on her own and suddelnly bamn. Not only did she have britain watching her but the world.

Look at Susan in the Semi finals and in the finals...big difference.

But again saying that I thought Diversity rocked. Looking at marketability though I would recok Susan would make them more money and you can dress it up any way you want, Susan will get signed, make records and make money and fair play to her.

i'm so glad susan boyle didn't win, she was good, but not as good as shaheen, i wanted him to win from day one,i wanted either him or diversity or flawless to win,

diversity was brilliant though, with the red caps as the buzzers, and everything.

do you think the queen will actually enjoy it though?

I HATE Shaheen.
I'm happy that diversity won they were very good dancers.

I disliked 2 grand I didn't think they were good enough to be in the final, the act was sweet but not great singers.

I loved that Kid who could dance and was a bit peeved at Simon for having a pop at him.

How could you dislike them? Granted not the most talented but they had a lot of hear at quite a lot of the public could relate to them.

I should also say tha I never saw this show from the start, I rarelyt watch UK tv (unless it is Question of Sport of has Richard Armitage, Doctor Who or Torchwood). I saw Susan on You Tube, though yeah honey living the dream, then started with the auditions and loved Stavros;

Yes not the most talented but very entertaining.

The last threee no doubt should get contracts anyway so do they really lose?

I just wonder about the marketability of Diversity. Yse they were amazng but really how much money can they make, singers and musicians make moeny and that is what it is all about (deny it all you wany). The only way to make money off them is ticket sales.

.

I just didn't enjoy their act, the song was cringey and the singing wasn't that good. Like Simon said they'd gone as far as they could go.

I think Kelly Clarkson is very talented, even if I don't care for her music. Carrie Underwood isn't half bad either. Can't say too much for the rest of them though. And I'm still on the "Chris Daughtry should have won and that goes to show you that you can be successful without American Idol" train. Hehe 😉

I'm not sure how it is across seas but dance groups are pretty big here in the US, especially the inner city. I can't go anywhere without seeing someone wearing or selling a JabbaWockeeZ tshirt/bag/bumper sticker (they won America's Best Dance Crew).

I love Daughtry, so use that an exampled and im screwed! haha Diversity were still the most talented.
Clearly after midnight I can't post without it doing damage to my spelling!

Sweet - sorry if it sounded like I was attacking you, not the case, I did agree with Simon with the fact that they had gone as far as they could, but I enjoyed it none the less.

Lindsey - Totally agree about Susan, she seemed relieved that the spot light and attention was not on her.

No problem :)
I'm not from Britain, but the news also comes flown over here. I really thought (not hoped) that Susan Boyle would win, she and that ballerina girl were actually the only ones I had seen clips of, and from those two I hoped Boyle would win. But now I've seen the dance formation Diversity and wow they're really great, good for them they won. And that little guy was so cute.

I think that ballerina and that one boy who sang a song of MJ I believe, shouldn't have been able to contest. They are way too young. It's actually ridiculous seeing them standing there. Also their voice could develop yet cuz of their age, so now a good voice wouldn't mean forever. With the little guy in Diversity it's otherwise, we don't speak about a voice there so yeah I don't mind that he's from that young age in the group there.
