I am probably the one person in the UK who is the only one who goes on about living here too much! I hate British music! I play the guitar- even though I am a girl and I hate it so much when you get people like Will Young and Gareth Gates in the charts... Can they play a musical instrument or anything like that? I am constantly on mtv.com and not mtv.co.uk because I recon that BANDS like Blink 182, Nickelback and Sum 41 are better than the rubbish pop music we get in the UK Top 40 every Sunday. Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, I sit in front of the TV and watch TRL because the music is way better. The Garage anthems that teenagers are playing these days are the kind of tunes that make you think alot about listening to music in the UK and I personally think that they make you start feeling bad about yourself... Songs that Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton write make you wanna sing along, play over and over again and they make you feel good about yourself.

My sister constantly plays garage music and god does it give me a headache! I love watching TRL and anything to do with Americans because one thing is for sure... You look at the bright side of life! Thats something British people don't do. 🙁

OMG i am like eactly the same as you - lol. My Friend loves dance and so soild crew and stuff like that - erghhh i can't stand it.

Oo I'm moving to England soon for uni. In 3 weeks actually. I think pop music in both america and england is rubbish. America's worse actually for me because a lot of the time they hide trying to be fake wherein in England, they are just so blatantly fake. hah. Avril Lavigne is the worst. She goes on about being a skater and punk when her music is hardly punk at all. It's straight out POP. Same with bands like Sum 41 who claim to be punk when its dripping wet with honey. Ahh well. The state of the music industry is rather sickening right now really.

I would have to agree that sum41 etc are still pop but have more musical talent than Blazin Squad. Give me some good old hole or Aerosmith and i'll be happy...
