britney said her self on the news that she will be on buffy for 6 episode in season 7
and it says in on her web site as well so it is ture
going to big 😛
 
Well, I really hope that she will not be in the show, because i didn't like her very much.

Sky News:When Britney Meets Buffy

Pop star Britney Spears is set for a role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is planning to take on the part of a blood-sucking baddie, according to reports. She will star opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar for six episodes in the show's next season.

Britney is hoping the guest appearance on the programme will boost her acting career. One insider said: "This will be an amazing sight.

"Millions will tune in to see the two of them fighting in their trademark figure-hugging outfits.

"It will be a sure-fire ratings hit," reported the Daily Star.

Britney made her big-screen debut in movie Crossroads. She also appears in the forthcoming new Austin Powers film.

Hmmm . . . sky news are well respected and have, like, the best news team in the world.

Id be very disappointed if they just put it on as they had read it somewhere else nad had no basis for it.

It would defintely boost buffys ratings, although it already is one of the most-watched shows in the world!

I personally dont want her on - i havent seen her act, but i think it would undermine buffy as you can only get on it if you are a great actress, and it would seem that britney would just have got a job as shes britney, and not coz shes a good actress. Buffy has never really had famous guest stars, right? I dont think they should start now, especially with a pop singer trying to boost her already-failing acting career.

Britney - stick to singing!

Buffy - stick to quality!

Well you don't have to be the greatest actress in the world, some of the time even the regular cast have their 'ham' moments, especially in recent season 6 episodes... ala 'Seeing Red' and I really hate to say this about the Goddess Amber Benson and Alyson Hannigan but some of their scenes seemed forced and so not genuine.
 
Everyone has their bad days! But i dont think they should just let britney on coz shes britney 'godess to most men', thats all i was saying.
I think alyson's acting in "Two To Go" was nothing short of phenomenal.

From what I heard, she is going to be a vamp in a couple of episodes. Hopefully, she'll have no lines(but a nice tight fitting dress...)

I don't want her to be on the show either. I think the only joy I would get out of it would be seeing her get beaten up then dusted. I've never seen her act but I just can't see her pulling of the vampire thing without being to much like a ditsy, valley girl wannabe.

Yeah, that about sums it up for me too. Being a worldwide *cough* star though, chances are she'll reap the benefits of everything Buffy's worked so hard to represent in the past, shove it back in our face with a stupid grin and a mediocre high-kick, a wad of bank cheques stuffed in her back pocket and a devastating trail blaze left splitting the show into tiny handwritten scripts Mr. Whedon now writes for some 3rd-rate television network in Cuba. Cue the awards ceremonies '03, a slapdash surgery appointment with Bilbo Hickerbottom, a load of half-baked speeches her PR edited from the "Baby One More Time" era, waterworks may ensue, more plastic surgery enhancements take effect, magazine interviews she pays her mother to fill in behind closed doors (leaving a note on the side stating, "don't forget to be intelejent"), romance with a ex-member of a boyband she states she can *relate* too and it'll soon be headlining "Britney's Comeback" on every major US stand. ::uh::

To make matters worse, Buffy meanwhile slumps ratings, the movie never gets produced, the world dives into a global recession and the cast and crew watch in the aftermath as Britney consumes the population with even more degenerating media stunts, a foray of crass motion pictures, re-masters of all her music albums, a couple of "pro-me" books and fitness vids the younger male gen-x can use to post-enhance their hormones and at least a hundred more media queens en route to showbiz super-stardom. *Gulp* 🙄

I completely agree! It seems like this topic of Britney is on like every forum. I really don't want Britney to be on Buffy. I can't stand her at all. She cannot act, yet alone sing. Seeing her on Buffy for six eps is so much torture! 🙁 I really hope it's not true. If it is, I just hope that Buffy kicks her ass hard! 😀

I don't Britney to be in it, she wouldn't bring anything to the show. Her acting isn't that bad, its not good but it isn't the worst but I still want to keep her popularity grabbing hands away from the show. It would be the final nail on the coffin if britney turned up for 6 episodes to fight buffy. Purlease.

I don't have anything against Miss Spears but I really just don't want her appearing in Buffy, she'd make it too cheesy. S6 was bad enough, I want the show to get better with s7 not worse.

I don't think theres much in it between Alyson's acting and Britney's. I know there are a million Alyson worshippers but I don't see what the fuss is about with her.

i don't know, she's not that bad...at least it's not Christina Aguilera...i mean at least Britney is still famous...Christina in my opinion sucks but i think i'd give Britney at least a chance...it's not like she's going to be the next slayer or anything...just a guest spot. and in no way am i a Britney fan but i'm not going to bash her before we see it.
 
I heard this too, it was on Daily Edition on MTV. Britney would soo suck as being a vampire, she could never act bad. Shes to prissy. Joss wheden would not be stupid enough to do this would he?
 
Like I posted before, I am fairly sure this is just the Season 5 rumor blown out of porportion, and I hopt this is the case. After watching this rumor being broadcast on TV, I am becomnig a bit skeptical, and stuff like "where did this 6 episode contract come from?". Well, I hope it isn't true, it wouldn't suit the series and like I siad before, the season hasn't even started filming yet s oI doubt they have been signing contracts.

One of the guys I worked with (he's not a fan of Britney either) said that as far as talent goes she's a better actor than a singer (in his opinion). However, I still just don't like her, her image or what she really represents. I think that in terms of media and how she presents herself, she's really not sending a great message or portraying a good image. Just my opinion though. Guess I just don't feel that she should be someone to be on Buffy.

After hearing Britney say this herself,I think she would do a great job.I believe she is a better actor then singer!
