I'm just checking to make sure, but "Broken Bottle of Djinn" isn't canon, or is it?

I'm asking, because it was printed as a Tales of the Slayers one-shot. It's written by Jane Espenson and Doug Petrie.

i've never read this...does anyone know why it isn't included in my Tales of the Slayers TPB? and does anyone know where i can order it?

The ToTS TPB did have a Broken Bottle story, but it starred Rachel O'Connor. The girl that pretended to be blind and staked the vamps with pencils? Well, that's the set up for a one shot comic book that WASN'T included in the TPB. It featured Buffy having to deal with a demon or something...

I hope that clarified you question!

Are you sure TC? Because I think that the stories in the TPB are the following:

Prologue: starring the First Slayer
Righteous: starring an unknown Slayer
Innocent: starring Claudinne
Presumption: starring Elizabeth Weston
the Glittering World: starring Naazéé'neizghà¡ni
Sonnenblume: starring Anni Sonnenblume
Nikki Goes Down: starring Nikki Wood
Tales: starring Melaka Fray

There's no Rachel O'Connor in any of them.

Hmm.

I know for sure I've heard of Rachel O'Connor and her comic book, but I dunno...

I just looked it up and it was a oneshot thing. There's a Broken Bottle 1937 and a Broken Bottle 1997. So, two of them, I think. My ToTS knowledge is limited, though.

Okay, so for everyone's clarity. There's two books we're talking about:

Tales of the Slayers (graphic novel) consists of the following stories:
Prologue: starring the First Slayer
Righteous: starring an unknown Slayer
Innocent: starring Claudinne
Presumption: starring Elizabeth Weston
the Glittering World: starring Naazéé'neizghà¡ni
Sonnenblume: starring Anni Sonnenblume
Nikki Goes Down: starring Nikki Wood
Tales: starring Melaka Fray

Tales of the Slayers: Broken Bottle of Djinn (one-shot) is a story consisting of these two parts:
Part I with Buffy in 1997.
Part II with Rachel O'Connor in 1937.

The Tales of the Slayers graphic novel is also refered to as a TPB, which technically it isn't, because it doesn't really collect any previously published stories.

The two items (graphic novel and one-shot) have never been published in a collection together.

We know that the graphic novel is canon. But is the one-shot canon as well?!?
