Apparently....talks between EON (the production team that produces the Bond movies) and Pierce Brosnan have gone sour and he will no longer be James Bond. Previous James Bond Roger Moore is in talks right now to replace Judy Dench as M, and his son Geoffrey is on a short list as Brosnan replacements.

However, word has it that the frontrunner for the role is Clive Owen.

I forget...which one is Clive Owen again? Too many movie actors to keep track of these days...lol.

Orlando Bloom as a young James? Granted, the young man is talented....but I dunno....I am having a hard time picturing Legolas as a suave, lady-killing superspy. (Although the lady-killing half of it wouldn't be completely unbelievable. 😛)

Ahh, yes...now I remember, thanks. :: tu ::

I should also mention that Gerard Butler and Colin Salmon are also names being bandied about for the Bond role.

WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE?! lol Gerry would be the perfect Bond 😀

Because I only just found out in the second place! LOL.

But don't get too excited...like I said, he's just a name being bounced around.

But, hmmm....'ole Dracula himself as Bond? COULD be cool.....

And how come that quote thingy is all haywire?

Trying something new to prevent bad people doing bad things lol - will fix 🙂

And GB is much more than Dracula...puh-lease 😀

Whatever "bad things" you're speaking of, I most CERTAINLY didn't do it. 😛

Hey, now, put the voodoo doll down, Boss...LOL....I know Mr. Butler is quite the prolific actor....but it's usually easier for me to remember who he is by referencing the Dracula role.

Man....you fan gals are so sensitive. 😛 😛

Personally....I think Ewan McGregor would be quite good as Bond......

I like pierce. Then again I loved connary. But What I don't get is why would they want to replace M? I mean I get that it is just a title like secretary, (a little more honnorary however) but does the M they have now want to leave as well. Don't tell me she passed away, I would be ever so uppset.

GO BACK AND CLONE CONNARY, BRING HIM BACK TO HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE AS BOND!!

Rest assured, young man, that Dame Judi Dench is alive and well.....although I am currently unaware of the circumstances surrounding her departure from the role of M.

And by the way....I was joking about Ewan Mcgregor......LOL....I just wanted to see what the reaction would be.

The cold silence says it all. 😛

OM2,
who is your all time fave. bond? Obviously mine is Connary, but many preferre moore? Who do you like?

First I'll say this....I love Sean Connery....he's a great actor, but as far as James Bond goes, I have always preferred ROGER MOORE, simply because the very first James Bond movies I was ever exposed to as a kid were the Roger Moore ones. I got used to him. "THE SPY WHO LOVED ME", and "MOONRAKER" are my most fave Bond movies of all time.

It is still hard for me to envision others in that role...although all the Bond actors are very good.

Sean Connery's Bond was suave and daring for sure....but Roger Moore was more action-oriented, much smoother with the ladies.

Still, like I said...nothing against Mr. Connery. He's awesome.

Now I'm curious, and I am sorry if I come off as a nitwit, but who were all of the Bonds? I know,
Roger Moore
Sean Connery
Timothy Dalton
And Pierce Brossnan
but I think that there was one other.

Hey Buffy, Who was your fave bond? I have to ask because All three of us are on right now!

I like Sean Connery the best (Faith is going to hit me). My Irish friend Eoghan likes Pierce Brosnan the best and hates Sean Connery because he apparently isn't true to the original Bond ideal. Whatever, he's biased lol

SEAN CONNERY was the first ever James Bond. After he did the first movie....he retired from the role...I forget why now.

So they filled the role with obscure actor GEORGE LAZENBY....who only did ONE James Bond film. The third Bond film saw the return of CONNERY, after they payed him more money, of course.

Connery continued on as Bond until ROGER MOORE took over. After Moore was TIMOTHY DALTON, and of course PIERCE BROSNAN.

Hey I've met Gerry, so I can be sensitive I am his biggest fan, after all .

Oh, suuurree.....flaunt the fact that you've met a hot celebrity. LOL. 😛😛 You're a wicked lady, Miss Summers!

I've only met Regis Philbin myself...but that was back in 1988...
Why can't I meet someone like Jennifer Connelly or someone equally gorgeous....I ask you! 😛

There was also George Lazenby in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and I believe David Niven in Casino Royale (I think Woody Allen played his nephew).

And hey...speaking of just looking for a reaction: Do you think James Marsters could play Bond? (Yes, I know he's not British) I've heard people mention Alexis Denisof, but I just don't see it.

That Is an interesting question, Making James- Bond...!?!?! Holly cow! It's a sign!! But if he was I hope they would do somthing about the blonde hair. Wait James isn't english, he's american. He is a brilliant actor, but he might sound a little to much like spike if he tried to be bond.

I don't know. He did also play William. I think he did Macbeth on stage in Seattle too. Perhaps he could find a Bond accent somewhere in the middle.
