I am writing another alternate script.I hope you like it.I will update it, at least ounce a week, because i have school on weekends.Please let me know what you think of it.
Buffy Episode 140 - "Dirty Girls"
Scene-Woods
A teenage girl is running through the woods at night, running for her life. Bringers are chasing her. She sees an old pick-up truck driving down a dirt road through the woods, and she runs in front of it, waving it down emphatically with both arms.
Girl-Stop! Stop! Stop, please! (the driver slows and stops the truck; the girl goes to the passenger door and speaks to him through the open window)
Man-(wearing a black shirt with priest's collar, speaking in a southern drawl) What's goin' on?
Girl-Please get me out of here! (opens the passenger door and climbs in)
Man-Was someone hurt?What is it?
Girl-Drive
Scene-Truck
The young girl is panting, catching her breath. She's sitting in the passenger's seat in an old truck beside a man dressed as a preacher or priest.
Man-Well, that was, uh... Are you all right?
Girl-(panting) Thank you. Thank God you were there.
Man-Well, let's not give him credit for everything. (smiles) No, I'm funning you. I don't believe it was a coincidence. I also don't believe young girls should be out in the woods late at night—should be tucked in bed.
Girl-(softly) Wish I was.
Man-I expect you do at that. Look, I don't mean to pry, but those boys... they looked like— Well, you didn't happen to fall in with devil worshipers, did you? (the girl doesn't answer, just stares out the window) Na, I'm—I'm sorry. You, uh, you look like you've been traveling a while. I didn't think that— Is there some place you'd like me to drop you? You heading some place?
Girl-Sunnydale.Revello Drive.Please.
Man-That's a suprise.I'm goin there, too.
Girl-Um, thanks, Father...
Man-Call me Caleb. Never was nobody's daddy.
Girl-I'm Shannon.
Caleb-Why is a young teenage girl, like you out late at night?
Shannon-Uh...
Caleb-Not much with words, are you?Well, Shannon, you feel like telling me why those Freaky Joe's were after you?
Shannon-I'm not sure.
Caleb-Well, do you ever think that maybe they were chasing you because you're a whore?
Shannon-(looks at Caleb, scoffs) What?
Caleb-Now, I know what you're thinking. Crazy preacher man spoutin' off at the mouth about the whore of Babylon or some-such. That ain't me. I'm not here to lecture you. I mean, what's the point? (presses in his dashboard cigarette lighter) My words just curdle in your ears. Wouldn't take in a thing. (Shannon looks around nervously, looks out the window) Head's filled with so much filth that ain't no room for words of truth. Well, you know what you are, Shannon? Dirty.
Shannon-What?I'm not!
Now, now, now. There's no blame here. You were born dirty, born without a soul. Born with that gaping maw wants to open up, suck out a man's marrow. Makes me puke to think too hard on it. (Shannon touches the passenger side door, trying to open it, but there's no handle) Yeah, that there door's problematical. I don't know as I could recommend steppin' out at this speed anyway. You're like as not to tumble some. But, of course, there's my boys back there—Ooh, they hate to miss a mark.
Shannon-They're you're-
Caleb-Yeah.Well, they ain't exactly my "blue eyed boys" but they're hard workers. And they don't truck with Satan—that was just me having fun. (looks at Shannon) Satan is a little man. (Shannon reaches for the steering wheel, but he pushes her away, pinning her against the seat, then shakes his finger at her) I don't like back-seat drivers.
Caleb reaches to the dashboard and grabs the cigarette lighter. He places the heated coil of the lighter on a ring he's wearing on the middle finger of his right hand and presses it for a moment.
Shannon-(sees what Caleb's doing, and cowers) Please...don't hurt me.
Caleb-Well, now, is this the part where you offer to do anything? Because I tried to make it clear—you got nothin' I want to explore.
Caleb puts the lighter back in the dashboard and presses his heated ring into Shannon's neck, making a sizzling sound. Shannon screams.
Caleb-Oh yeah. That's it! That's a cleansing fire. Hallelujah! Now, if I'm not mistaken, there's a car a little ways behind us, and I do believe there's some folk in it goin' the same place you are. Now, I want you to deliver a message for me, but it's not for them. It's for the other one—the one and only, the original, accept-no-substitutes slayer. Would you tell her something for me?
Shannon-(cries)Yes.
Caleb-Thank you, Shannon. (takes a knife and stabs Shannon in the stomach, then whispers something in her ear) Now, let's see what we can't do about that door.
Caleb kicks the door open and pushes Shannon out.
Scene-Rural Highway
Shannon falls out of the pick-up truck and rolls across the pavement. A car driving toward her slams on its breaks. The driver, Willow, steps out and runs to the girl's side. The passenger steps out of the car and saunters toward Shannon.
Willow-(to Shannon) Are you OK? Can you hear me? (rolls Shannon over) Can you talk? (to her passenger) This girl's bleeding badly. We have to get her to the hospital.
As Willow's passenger walks forward into the light, show it's Faith standing there.
Faith-Guess I'm back in SunnyD.
Scene-Sunnydale Hospital
Faith-You sure she's one of us? She don't look like much now. Not a potential slayer, I mean.
Willow-Don't know. Seems to fit, though. We'll know more when she regains consciousness.
Faith-Something's killing girls, around the world..Thing like that, figure I might get a heads up.
Willow-Faith...
Faith-Guess it doesn't really matter as long as you got the true slayer intact.
Willow-You were in prison.Figured you were safe there.
Faith-Safe?Someone came at me with a nasty looking knife.Didn't really know why 'til now.
Willow-I'm sorry.We didn't-
Faith-Forget it.It's cool.
Willow-I called home, but Dawn says Buffy's out patrolling.
Faith-Home?You mean you like with B?
Willow-We kinda took over, when Buffy died.
Faith-She died?Wow.So many surprising things, just keep on happening.Let's go get her.
Willow-Wait, someone should wait here, in case she wakes up.
Faith-Fine.I'll go.Sit tight.I'll be back.
Willow-W-w-wait. Uh, maybe you meeting Buffy alone isn't the best idea.
Faith-Relax.I'm sure she changed, too.Everything's changed since I left.
Willow-Well, I'm not sure about Buffy.
Faith-C'mon.I wanna see the new gang.You guys keep changing every year.
Willow-You can say that again.One of the scoobies past away a year ago.
Faith-Tough job, being a slayerette, ain't it?
Willow-Sometimes.But we have alot of fun.You sure you wanna go?
Faith-Me, and hospitals.We don't click.I'm sure we'll all get along just fine. (turns, walks away)
Scene-Sunnydale Cemetery
Someone's pursuing her. She stops running and looks for a place to hide. Someone punches her, knocking her down to the ground. Her pursuer kneels down to grab the young woman, but someone picks him up and throws him into a nearby tombstone. It was Spike who was pursuing the young woman, and Faith who pulled him off of her.
Faith-Watcha wanna do to her, vamp?? (circles Spike) Huh? Somthin' like this? (kicks Spike on the stomach)
Spike-Strong kick you got there.Let me guess, a demon?
Faith-No. (punches him)
Spike punches her back,
Faith-But close.I'm the slayer.
Spike-You're the other one, aren't you?
Faith-Actaully, the real one.
Spike-You must be Faith.I heard about you, killing the scoobies, 3 years ago.Told me to kill you, because you were the Big Bad Rogue slayer.
Faith-(Kicks Spike on the face) Well that was then.(punches him on the face)This is now.
Spike-Told you were coming.Bit of a misunderstanding here.I'm-
Faith-Spike. (nods) Yeah, we've met before.
Spike-We have? I don't think we- (Faith kicks Spike in the torso) Bloody hell! What're you doing? I'm on your side.
Faith-Why wpuld I listen to you?
Spike-Because-
Faith-You're nothing, but an undead, evil, kill-
Buffy-ing slayer. (punches Faith in the face, knocking her down)
Faith looks behind her, to see Buffy.
Buffy-Sorry, Faith.I didn't realize that was you.At first, I thought it was a selfish, uncaring slayer, who tried to kill all my friends.Now I know, it's not her.What made you change?
Faith-I wasn't that evil.
Buffy-Torturing all my friends, and you're former watcher?I hope I'm not being to honest.Fine, let's put you on the bad categorie, since being evil seems to be your goal. (looks at Spike) You okay?
Spike-I'm fine.
Faith-(shocked) Are you protecting vampires?Are you the bad slayer now?Am I the good slayer now?
Buffy-He's with me.He has a soul.
Faith-That's bizarre.He's like Angel?If he's good, then why's he chasing down defenseless-
The young woman that Spike was chasing stands up, growls, and attacks Faith, knocking her down.
Buffy-(points to the vampire)That, vampire. (holds up her stake) This stake.Stake kills vampire.Anymore questions?
Faith-Thank's for letting me know.
Buffy-I figured you forgot how to fight vamps, since you've been too busy killing humans.
Faith-(Fights the vamp woman, and reaches around to Buffy's pocket full of stakes) May I? (takes a stake) Thanks.
Faith continues fighting the vamp woman, then stakes her.
Spike-I'm nothing like Angel.Angel's dull as a table lamp.And we have very different coloring.
Faith-OK, catching up. Anything else I gotta know?
Buffy-Nice to have you back.
Faith-At first I thought, you weren't glad to see me.
Buffy-I was also catching up.Still thught you were killing people.
Faith-(getting pissed off) You like doing that, don't you?
Buffy-I'm just kidding.I'm glad to have you back on the team.We'll need you in this battle.
Scene-Buffy's House
Buffy, Faith, Willow, and Spike walk into Buffy's house through the front door.Dawn and Giles are at the dining room table.
Faith-Whoa.Memory Lane.Same old house.
Buffy-Yeah, well, every piece of furniture's been destroyed and replaced since you left, so, actually, new house.
Dawn-(stands, walks toward them with her arms crossed) Buffy? (looks disapprovingly at Faith)
Buffy-Say hi, Dawn.
Dawn-(looks at Faith, then Buffy) Does she have to stay here? Because there's some nice hotels that welcome tried-to-kill-your-sister types.
Faith-(smiles) Check it out.Brat's all woman-sized. (looks at Giles) Hey, got a spare bed for a wanted fugitive?
Giles-(nods) Hello, Faith.
Buffy-Look, I need to get to the hospital. Some girl was attacked on her way into town. We think she might be a—
Dawn-Potential slayer.We know.Willow's been calling like a dozen times already.
Willow-(is embarressed)We better get there soon.I'm sure she's awake.
Giles-(To Faith) Well, Faith, we better, um, see if we can find some place to squeeze you in for the night. (Giles and Dawn walk away)
Spike-Not all that tension was about you. Giles was a part of a plan to kill me...for Buffy's own good.
Buffy, and Willow go into the dining room.
Faith-Well, that makes me feel better about me, worse about Giles...kinda shaky about you.What else has changed, since I left?
Spike-Tara died..
Faith-(to herself) The scooby Willow was talking about..
Spike-Buffy died.BuffyBot replaced Buffy for some time.Buffy came back.BuffyBot died.And Buffy regained her role as the guardian of the hellmouth.That's pretty much it.The rest isn't that important.
Faith-(smiles) Right..I heard you had a thing with B.
Spike-Well, it was kinda the other way around.
Faith-(begins teasing Spike) You player..(smiles)
Spike-(not ammused at Faith's comment) Ha.Ha.Very funny.
Faith laughs, and walks away.
Scene-Cellar
Caleb pours wine into a glass directly from a barrel.
Caleb-"Drink of this, for it is my blood." (drinks) You know, I always loved the story of the Last Supper. (looks at his glass, turns, paces) The body and blood of Christ becoming rich, red wine. I recall, as a boy, though, I couldn't help but think: what would happen if you were at the Last Supper, and you ordered the white? A nice oaky Chardonnay or White Zin... I mean, would he make that out of his lymph or some-all? (shrugs) Never did bring it up. Suppose there was a reason why I never spent too long in one parish. Just looking for answers. Just looking for the Lord in the wrong damn places. (gestures to someone in the room with him) Then you showed me the light.
The First/Buffy-Do you think I'm God? (walks out from the shadows toward Caleb)
Caleb-I certainly do not. I am beyond concepts like that.
The First/Buffy-But you still wear the outfit.
Caleb-Man can't turn his back on what he come from.Besides, black is slimming. (looks at his outfit) Everyone knows that.
Caleb-Just another dirty girl. And, since you only dress up in dead folk, I'm guessing, one who's already been paid her wage.
The First/Buffy-Look at me.What do you see?
Caleb-Strength.And the loneliness that comes with real strength.
The First/Buffy-Nothing about my new hairdo?Fine, don't compliment me.Anyways, Black is like so last year.Pink is the new blue.
Caleb-You're-
The First/Buffy-The slayer.
Caleb-(reaches toward her) At long last. (tries to touch her face, but his hand goes through her head) All this time. All the work I've done for you... Blowing up the Council, organizing the Ray Charles Brigade, and stickin' all them splits—you never showed me.
The First/Buffy-Well, you've earned it.And you'll be meeting her soon.Am I right?
Caleb-Yeah, she'll get the message.
The First/Buffy-And what makes you so sure she'll come?
Caleb-Curiosity.Woman's first sin.I offer her an apple.What can she do but take it?The slayer is in deed pretty.I wonder what the other one looks like.
The First/Buffy-I guarantee you'll find out soon.I got word that F was in town.I hate that little brat.
Caleb-I'll try my best.
The First/Buffy-Yeah, do that.And while you're at it, try and get a new wardrobe, cause those black outfits of yours, are so not in nowadays.
Caleb-I'll do everything, but that.
The First/Buffy-Fine!Keep it that way.I'm just warning you.Don't come running to me, when you get the worst style award.
Scene-Buffy's House-Kitchen
Andrew is talking to a group of potentials, about Faith.
Andrew-Faith.Her name alone invokes awe.Faith.A set of principles or beliefs on which you are willing to devote your life.The Dark slayer.The Rogue slayer.I've never met her before.But demon's in town used to talk about her.Used to say how she killed both humans and demons.A lethal combination of beauty, power, and death.For years and years—or to be more accurate—months, Faith fought on the side of good, terrorizing the evil community.But like so many tragic heroes, Faith was seduced by the lure of the dark side.
She wrapped evil around her like a large, evil Mexican serape.
She became a cold-blooded killer.
Amanda-Has she ever tried to kill you?
Andrew-Ounce.I got in her way...
Scene-Andrew's Imagination Scene
Andrew is in the streets, walking by himself, not looking at where he is going.He accidently bumps into Faith.
Faith-Move it, you little insect!
Andrew-(stands up with courage) You must be the slayer.The most strongest human being ever.She who fights evil.Vampires.Demons.But you, Faith.You kill good, and fight for evil.
Faith-Save the big talk later, geek.Let's get down to business.
Faith tries to punch Andrew, on the head, but he dodges.He kicks her on the stomach, & she flies in the air.She hits a wall, and lays on the ground, in pain.
Faith-(she begins crying) I'm so sorry...Don't hurt me..
Scene-Kitchen
Andrew-I let her go, & she returned to the good side.
Amanda-Yeah, right.Faith could beat you up, any day.You made up that story.And you just said you've never met her before.
Andrew-(sighs) Fine.I did.But you must be aware.Faith is mean, blue jean, supreme killing machine.You must stay on guard around Faith at all times.Your very lives may depend on it.
Lissa-If Faith's a slayer..Then..How come there's two slayers?Isn't there only supposed to be one?
Vi-I knew there was another slayer.But how?
Dawn-When Buffy was still 16, she was killed by The Master, a powerful vampire.He drank her blood, then drowned her.At that moment, a slayer named Kendra was called.Xander later revived Buffy, by doing CPR.Kendra was later killed by Drusilla, Spike's ex girlfriend.Then Faith was called.The rest they say is history.Anymore questions?
There is a moment of silence.
Dawn-You guys, Buffy will protect you.She's a very responsible person.I guarantee all of you will make it alive during this battle.
Molly-I hope so.Cause I don't want to die.
Kennedy-Neither do I.From the faces I see in this room, I guess that means neither does anybody else.
Molly-So many girls are dying, all because of The First.But what made The First attack?
Kennedy-Probably because the Big Bads, were making fun of the so called first evil.The First got tired of being bullied, and decided to prove them wrong, by attempting to end the slayer line.
Scene-Cellar
The First/Buffy-I sense them.They're all afraid.Afraid of what will happen to them when...
The First forms into Eve, the dead potential.
The First/Eve-...they die.Which is gonna happen soon.They're just waiting to be picked off, one by one.(to Caleb) Are you sure you're ready?
Caleb-I always am.
The First/Eve-I hope so.Cause I want to see the slayers dead, by tommorow.If not..
The First forms into Buffy.The First/Buffy is wearing a pink dress.
The First/Buffy-..I may have to punish you.Just like I did to Spike.I'm guessing you don't want that to happen.
Scene-Sunnydale High-The Principal's Office
The school bell rings. Principal Wood is sitting at his desk working. Buffy walks up to his office and leans on the doorjamb.
Buffy-Hey.
Robin Wood-Hey.
Buffy-You okay?
Robin Wood-(nods) Still healing from my wounds.But yeah, never better.
Buffy-I just wanted to let you know, that I won't beat you up anymore.Unless you start fighting Spike again.I may just have to.
Robin Wood-You're fired.
Buffy-(shocked) What?Okay.I take that promise back.I may just have to beat you up again.
There is a moment of silence.
Buffy-I won't beat you up.I just want to know, why you're firing me.Is it because of the whole Spike thing?
Robin Wood-You should be more focused on you're other job.The slaying.It's the mission that matters.Ounce this thing errupts, we probably won't have a highschool anymore.The potentials need you, to protect them.I know being a slayer is tuff.You're given a big responsibility, that you have to bear for the rest of your life.It's the biggest responsibility a human has.And you slayers, were chosen to take it.Being in school, we actually learn things, like don't give up.The fate of the world depends on you.My mother never gave up on anybody.You're unlike most slayers.You have a bigger responsibility,The fate of the slayerline, and the world.
Scene-Sunnydale Hospital
Shannon is bruised badly all over her body. She lies in bed, still, covered with bandages.
Shannon-He was a minister, or something...At least, he dressed like one.I thought he was trying to save me...at first.
Buffy-How'd you get to his truck?
Shannon-Bringer's were chasing me.I stopped him, while he was driving, and he agreed to help me.He said that the Bringers were his boys.Then he burned me. (Shannon removes the bandage over the burn on her neck.)
Shannon-He wanted to tell you something. Before he...cut me...he told me to give the slayer a message.He-he said, "I have something of yours."
Scene-Buffy's House-Living Room
Buffy is talking to the gang, and a group of potentials.
Buffy-We got ourselves more baddies.This time he dresses like a preacher.Calls himself, Caleb.Looks like he's working for the First.He says he's got something of mine.It could be another girl, or something else.I don't care what it is.I'm tired of us just staying here, waiting to be picked off, one by one.I say we go there, and when I say we, I mean all of us in this room.
Fade to Black.
Scene-Living Room
Buffy-We need to start training the girls, to fight our baddies.
I want them all equiped with weapons, of any kind.
Willow-Do we even know where to go?
Buffy-Me and Faith, will go and play hide and seek with the Bringers.Try to find out where their base is.Meanwhile, you guys get ready.(To Faith) You ready?
Faith nods.
Buffy-Let's go.
The two slayers leave the house.
Scene-Forest
Buffy and Faith are following a Bringer, chatting as they go.
Buffy-You think he see's us?
Faith-Relax.He's too far ahead.I doubt they can hear, as well as they can see.
Buffy-Willow said you helped out Angel.
Faith-Yeah.I had to go through Angel's mind.It's kinda hard to explain.
Buffy-You were in Angel's mind?
Faith-Yeah, with Angelus.
Buffy-Faith... (stops, looks at the barn-like building that the Bringer walked up to.) Let me guess..That's their best hiding place.
Faith-We better go get the crew.
Scene-Living Room
The potentials are all holding weapons.They are waiting for Buffy and Faith, to come back.
Rona-(to Molly) You nervous?
Molly-A little.
Kennedy-We'll be ready. (looks at her axe)
Rona-I don't trust Buffy.She's taking us to the bad guy's lair.I don't even know if we can fight this thing, and make it back unbruised.
Xander-That's why you were trained.
Rona-(complaining) I came here to be protected by the slayer.I didn't come to join the army.
Dawn-Buffy wouldn't bring you to battle, if she knew you weren't ready.You guys are new to the game.And you've got to know something.Buffy won't fail any of you.I guarantee you'll make it alive.
Rona-Did she fail Chloe?..Or how about Eve?
Xander-You know what..Listen.You doubt Buffy, always thinking she'll lead you into trouble.You newbies are new, and you haven't seen Buffy.You don't have the right to accuse her, because you don't know her.For 7 years, we've been fighting with the slayer.I've seen Buffy.Her good side, bad side, failures, and accomplishments.
Rona-(to herself) I've already seen her failures.
Xander-I'm telling you.She cares about each and everyone of you.She won't fail any of you.
Molly looks at Xander, and frowns.
Buffy and Faith walk into the house.
Buffy-We found our boys.
Dawn-Already?
Buffy-The Bringers aren't that good, in Hide and Seek.We just followed one to their hiding place.
Faith-You guys ready?
Kennedy and Lissa nod.
Buffy-Let's go then.
Scene-Valley Vineyards
Buffy's brought a small gang with her to the vineyard-Faith, Spike, Xander, Dawn, Rona, Kennedy, Lissa, Molly, Injured Girl, and a blonde potential.
Buffy-Listen up!Spike, Kennedy, Molly, & Xander, you're coming with me.The rest of you come in when you get the signal.
Faith-And that is..
Buffy-Screaming.Yelling.And more shouting.
Buffy leads her team inside.
Scene-Wine Cellar
Buffy walks down the steps into the wine cellar, followed by Spike, Kennedy, Molly, & Xander.
Molly-I'm getting the shivers about this place.
Rona-Me, too.
Buffy-Looks like an old vineyard.
Spike-I thought you said they were here.
Bringers come out of the shadows, from behind the barrels of wine, and attack Buffy and gang.
Buffy-(being sarcastic) Surprise!
A Bringer kicks Buffy on the chest, and she walks back a few steps.She jumps up in the air, and kicks him on the chest.She lands back on the ground, and uses her right leg, to kick the Bringer on the head.The Bringer tries to slash her with his dagger, but she ducks.
A Bringer grabs Spike's neck, from behind.He throws Spike, against the wall.Spike hits the wall, and attacks back, by kicking the Bringer on the face.Kennedy swings her axe at a Bringer.The blade of her axe, stabs the Bringer on the head.The Bringer falls dead on the floor.Another Bringer walks up to Kennedy.Kennedy swings her axe, at his neck.A Bringer tries to punch Molly, but she dodges, and punches him back.She grabs a knife from her pocket, and stabs the Bringer's stomach with it.Xander is dodging a Bringer's dagger.
A Bringer stabs Kennedy from behind, and she falls on the ground.
Molly-Kennedy!
Molly is about to run to her, when Caleb comes up to her.
Caleb-Well, well.What do we got here?
Molly raises her knife, and defends herself with it.Caleb walks up to her slowly, and Moilly walks back a few steps.In the background, Buffy and Rona, are fighting bringers.Caleb garbs hold of her head.Molly drops her weapon, and panics.Caleb twists her head, and snaps her neck.She falls on the floor.Faith, and the potentials arrive.
Faith jumps and in the air, and kicks Caleb's face.He falls to the floor, and quickly gets back up.Faith continues to punch him, but Caleb dodges the attacks.Faith jumps up again, attempting to kick him from above.Still in the air, Caleb grabs her left leg and slams her against a wall.She hits the wall, and lands on the floor, unconcious.
Dawn-Are you okay?
Kennedy-No.
Dawn helps her up.The blonde potential, and Injured Girl are fighting side by side.A bringer kicks the blonde potential, on the chest and she hits the wall, behind her.The bringer punches her, and she hits the wall again.Injured Girl dodges a Bringer's kick, by doing a back flip.She tries to punch him again, but he grabs hold of her arm, and twists it.She falls to the ground, in pain.
Xander runs up to Faith, and helps her up.He looks behind him, and sees Caleb.
Behind Caleb, a young potential, named Lissa is laying down on the floor, dead.A puddle of blood is flowing on the ground, beside her body.Dawn, and Kennedy walk up to Lissa's body.
Rona joins them.Rona's face is full of bruises.Beside Lissa's body, is Molly's corpse.Rona cries, and lays her head on Kennedy's shoulder.
Spike-Buffy!Let's get out of here!
Buffy stabs a bringer, then runs to Spike.Buffy looks around, and sees Xander and Caleb.Caleb plunges his thumb into Xander's left eye, gouging it out.Xander screams in agony.
Buffy charges Caleb, knocking Xander away from Caleb.Xander, bleeding from his eye, stumbles back, falling to the ground in front of wine barrels.
Buffy and Spike lift Xander to his feet, and carry him out, one supporting each of his arms. Caleb sits up but doesn't pursue them as they walk out. He stands and smiles while watching them leave.
Buffy-(to the gang) Let's Go!
The blonde potential, and Rona hold Faith, who is still unconcious.The potentials follow Buffy, and Spike.

Scene-Woods
A teenage girl is running through the woods at night, running for her life. Bringers are chasing her. She sees an old pick-up truck driving down a dirt road through the woods, and she runs in front of it, waving it down emphatically with both arms.
Girl-Stop! Stop! Stop, please! (the driver slows and stops the truck; the girl goes to the passenger door and speaks to him through the open window)
Man-(wearing a black shirt with priest's collar, speaking in a southern drawl) What's goin' on?
Girl-Please get me out of here! (opens the passenger door and climbs in)
Man-Was someone hurt?What is it?
Girl-Drive
Scene-Truck
The young girl is panting, catching her breath. She's sitting in the passenger's seat in an old truck beside a man dressed as a preacher or priest.
Man-Well, that was, uh... Are you all right?
Girl-(panting) Thank you. Thank God you were there.
Man-Well, let's not give him credit for everything. (smiles) No, I'm funning you. I don't believe it was a coincidence. I also don't believe young girls should be out in the woods late at night—should be tucked in bed.
Girl-(softly) Wish I was.
Man-I expect you do at that. Look, I don't mean to pry, but those boys... they looked like— Well, you didn't happen to fall in with devil worshipers, did you? (the girl doesn't answer, just stares out the window) Na, I'm—I'm sorry. You, uh, you look like you've been traveling a while. I didn't think that— Is there some place you'd like me to drop you? You heading some place?
Girl-Sunnydale.Revello Drive.Please.
Man-That's a suprise.I'm goin there, too.
Girl-Um, thanks, Father...
Man-Call me Caleb. Never was nobody's daddy.
Girl-I'm Shannon.
Caleb-Why is a young teenage girl, like you out late at night?
Shannon-Uh...
Caleb-Not much with words, are you?Well, Shannon, you feel like telling me why those Freaky Joe's were after you?
Shannon-I'm not sure.
Caleb-Well, do you ever think that maybe they were chasing you because you're a whore?
Shannon-(looks at Caleb, scoffs) What?
Caleb-Now, I know what you're thinking. Crazy preacher man spoutin' off at the mouth about the whore of Babylon or some-such. That ain't me. I'm not here to lecture you. I mean, what's the point? (presses in his dashboard cigarette lighter) My words just curdle in your ears. Wouldn't take in a thing. (Shannon looks around nervously, looks out the window) Head's filled with so much filth that ain't no room for words of truth. Well, you know what you are, Shannon? Dirty.
Shannon-What?I'm not!
Now, now, now. There's no blame here. You were born dirty, born without a soul. Born with that gaping maw wants to open up, suck out a man's marrow. Makes me puke to think too hard on it. (Shannon touches the passenger side door, trying to open it, but there's no handle) Yeah, that there door's problematical. I don't know as I could recommend steppin' out at this speed anyway. You're like as not to tumble some. But, of course, there's my boys back there—Ooh, they hate to miss a mark.
Shannon-They're you're-
Caleb-Yeah.Well, they ain't exactly my "blue eyed boys" but they're hard workers. And they don't truck with Satan—that was just me having fun. (looks at Shannon) Satan is a little man. (Shannon reaches for the steering wheel, but he pushes her away, pinning her against the seat, then shakes his finger at her) I don't like back-seat drivers.
Caleb reaches to the dashboard and grabs the cigarette lighter. He places the heated coil of the lighter on a ring he's wearing on the middle finger of his right hand and presses it for a moment.
Shannon-(sees what Caleb's doing, and cowers) Please...don't hurt me.
Caleb-Well, now, is this the part where you offer to do anything? Because I tried to make it clear—you got nothin' I want to explore.
Caleb puts the lighter back in the dashboard and presses his heated ring into Shannon's neck, making a sizzling sound. Shannon screams.
Caleb-Oh yeah. That's it! That's a cleansing fire. Hallelujah! Now, if I'm not mistaken, there's a car a little ways behind us, and I do believe there's some folk in it goin' the same place you are. Now, I want you to deliver a message for me, but it's not for them. It's for the other one—the one and only, the original, accept-no-substitutes slayer. Would you tell her something for me?
Shannon-(cries)Yes.
Caleb-Thank you, Shannon. (takes a knife and stabs Shannon in the stomach, then whispers something in her ear) Now, let's see what we can't do about that door.
Caleb kicks the door open and pushes Shannon out.
Scene-Rural Highway
Shannon falls out of the pick-up truck and rolls across the pavement. A car driving toward her slams on its breaks. The driver, Willow, steps out and runs to the girl's side. The passenger steps out of the car and saunters toward Shannon.
Willow-(to Shannon) Are you OK? Can you hear me? (rolls Shannon over) Can you talk? (to her passenger) This girl's bleeding badly. We have to get her to the hospital.
As Willow's passenger walks forward into the light, show it's Faith standing there.
Faith-Guess I'm back in SunnyD.
Scene-Sunnydale Hospital
Faith-You sure she's one of us? She don't look like much now. Not a potential slayer, I mean.
Willow-Don't know. Seems to fit, though. We'll know more when she regains consciousness.
Faith-Something's killing girls, around the world..Thing like that, figure I might get a heads up.
Willow-Faith...
Faith-Guess it doesn't really matter as long as you got the true slayer intact.
Willow-You were in prison.Figured you were safe there.
Faith-Safe?Someone came at me with a nasty looking knife.Didn't really know why 'til now.
Willow-I'm sorry.We didn't-

Willow-I called home, but Dawn says Buffy's out patrolling.
Faith-Home?You mean you like with B?
Willow-We kinda took over, when Buffy died.
Faith-She died?Wow.So many surprising things, just keep on happening.Let's go get her.
Willow-Wait, someone should wait here, in case she wakes up.
Faith-Fine.I'll go.Sit tight.I'll be back.
Willow-W-w-wait. Uh, maybe you meeting Buffy alone isn't the best idea.
Faith-Relax.I'm sure she changed, too.Everything's changed since I left.

Scene-Sunnydale Cemetery
Someone's pursuing her. She stops running and looks for a place to hide. Someone punches her, knocking her down to the ground. Her pursuer kneels down to grab the young woman, but someone picks him up and throws him into a nearby tombstone. It was Spike who was pursuing the young woman, and Faith who pulled him off of her.
Faith-Watcha wanna do to her, vamp?? (circles Spike) Huh? Somthin' like this? (kicks Spike on the stomach)
Spike-Strong kick you got there.Let me guess, a demon?
Faith-No. (punches him)
Spike punches her back,
Faith-But close.I'm the slayer.
Spike-You're the other one, aren't you?
Faith-Actaully, the real one.
Spike-You must be Faith.I heard about you, killing the scoobies, 3 years ago.Told me to kill you, because you were the Big Bad Rogue slayer.
Faith-(Kicks Spike on the face) Well that was then.(punches him on the face)This is now.
Spike-Told you were coming.Bit of a misunderstanding here.I'm-
Faith-Spike. (nods) Yeah, we've met before.
Spike-We have? I don't think we- (Faith kicks Spike in the torso) Bloody hell! What're you doing? I'm on your side.

Buffy-ing slayer. (punches Faith in the face, knocking her down)
Faith looks behind her, to see Buffy.
Buffy-Sorry, Faith.I didn't realize that was you.At first, I thought it was a selfish, uncaring slayer, who tried to kill all my friends.Now I know, it's not her.What made you change?
Faith-I wasn't that evil.
Buffy-Torturing all my friends, and you're former watcher?I hope I'm not being to honest.Fine, let's put you on the bad categorie, since being evil seems to be your goal. (looks at Spike) You okay?
Spike-I'm fine.
Faith-(shocked) Are you protecting vampires?Are you the bad slayer now?Am I the good slayer now?
Buffy-He's with me.He has a soul.
Faith-That's bizarre.He's like Angel?If he's good, then why's he chasing down defenseless-
The young woman that Spike was chasing stands up, growls, and attacks Faith, knocking her down.
Buffy-(points to the vampire)That, vampire. (holds up her stake) This stake.Stake kills vampire.Anymore questions?

Buffy-I figured you forgot how to fight vamps, since you've been too busy killing humans.
Faith-(Fights the vamp woman, and reaches around to Buffy's pocket full of stakes) May I? (takes a stake) Thanks.
Faith continues fighting the vamp woman, then stakes her.
Spike-I'm nothing like Angel.Angel's dull as a table lamp.And we have very different coloring.
Faith-OK, catching up. Anything else I gotta know?
Buffy-Nice to have you back.
Faith-At first I thought, you weren't glad to see me.
Buffy-I was also catching up.Still thught you were killing people.
Faith-(getting pissed off) You like doing that, don't you?

Scene-Buffy's House
Buffy, Faith, Willow, and Spike walk into Buffy's house through the front door.Dawn and Giles are at the dining room table.
Faith-Whoa.Memory Lane.Same old house.
Buffy-Yeah, well, every piece of furniture's been destroyed and replaced since you left, so, actually, new house.
Dawn-(stands, walks toward them with her arms crossed) Buffy? (looks disapprovingly at Faith)
Buffy-Say hi, Dawn.
Dawn-(looks at Faith, then Buffy) Does she have to stay here? Because there's some nice hotels that welcome tried-to-kill-your-sister types.
Faith-(smiles) Check it out.Brat's all woman-sized. (looks at Giles) Hey, got a spare bed for a wanted fugitive?
Giles-(nods) Hello, Faith.
Buffy-Look, I need to get to the hospital. Some girl was attacked on her way into town. We think she might be a—
Dawn-Potential slayer.We know.Willow's been calling like a dozen times already.
Willow-(is embarressed)We better get there soon.I'm sure she's awake.
Giles-(To Faith) Well, Faith, we better, um, see if we can find some place to squeeze you in for the night. (Giles and Dawn walk away)
Spike-Not all that tension was about you. Giles was a part of a plan to kill me...for Buffy's own good.
Buffy, and Willow go into the dining room.
Faith-Well, that makes me feel better about me, worse about Giles...kinda shaky about you.What else has changed, since I left?
Spike-Tara died..
Faith-(to herself) The scooby Willow was talking about..
Spike-Buffy died.BuffyBot replaced Buffy for some time.Buffy came back.BuffyBot died.And Buffy regained her role as the guardian of the hellmouth.That's pretty much it.The rest isn't that important.
Faith-(smiles) Right..I heard you had a thing with B.
Spike-Well, it was kinda the other way around.

Caleb pours wine into a glass directly from a barrel.
Caleb-"Drink of this, for it is my blood." (drinks) You know, I always loved the story of the Last Supper. (looks at his glass, turns, paces) The body and blood of Christ becoming rich, red wine. I recall, as a boy, though, I couldn't help but think: what would happen if you were at the Last Supper, and you ordered the white? A nice oaky Chardonnay or White Zin... I mean, would he make that out of his lymph or some-all? (shrugs) Never did bring it up. Suppose there was a reason why I never spent too long in one parish. Just looking for answers. Just looking for the Lord in the wrong damn places. (gestures to someone in the room with him) Then you showed me the light.
The First/Buffy-Do you think I'm God? (walks out from the shadows toward Caleb)
Caleb-I certainly do not. I am beyond concepts like that.
The First/Buffy-But you still wear the outfit.
Caleb-Man can't turn his back on what he come from.Besides, black is slimming. (looks at his outfit) Everyone knows that.
Caleb-Just another dirty girl. And, since you only dress up in dead folk, I'm guessing, one who's already been paid her wage.

Caleb-Yeah, she'll get the message.

Faith-Save the big talk later, geek.Let's get down to business.
Faith tries to punch Andrew, on the head, but he dodges.He kicks her on the stomach, & she flies in the air.She hits a wall, and lays on the ground, in pain.
Faith-(she begins crying) I'm so sorry...Don't hurt me..

Andrew-I let her go, & she returned to the good side.
Amanda-Yeah, right.Faith could beat you up, any day.You made up that story.And you just said you've never met her before.
Andrew-(sighs) Fine.I did.But you must be aware.Faith is mean, blue jean, supreme killing machine.You must stay on guard around Faith at all times.Your very lives may depend on it.
Lissa-If Faith's a slayer..Then..How come there's two slayers?Isn't there only supposed to be one?
Vi-I knew there was another slayer.But how?
Dawn-When Buffy was still 16, she was killed by The Master, a powerful vampire.He drank her blood, then drowned her.At that moment, a slayer named Kendra was called.Xander later revived Buffy, by doing CPR.Kendra was later killed by Drusilla, Spike's ex girlfriend.Then Faith was called.The rest they say is history.Anymore questions?

Molly-So many girls are dying, all because of The First.But what made The First attack?
Kennedy-Probably because the Big Bads, were making fun of the so called first evil.The First got tired of being bullied, and decided to prove them wrong, by attempting to end the slayer line.

The school bell rings. Principal Wood is sitting at his desk working. Buffy walks up to his office and leans on the doorjamb.
Buffy-Hey.
Robin Wood-Hey.
Buffy-You okay?
Robin Wood-(nods) Still healing from my wounds.But yeah, never better.
Buffy-I just wanted to let you know, that I won't beat you up anymore.Unless you start fighting Spike again.I may just have to.
Robin Wood-You're fired.
Buffy-(shocked) What?Okay.I take that promise back.I may just have to beat you up again.

Buffy-I won't beat you up.I just want to know, why you're firing me.Is it because of the whole Spike thing?
Robin Wood-You should be more focused on you're other job.The slaying.It's the mission that matters.Ounce this thing errupts, we probably won't have a highschool anymore.The potentials need you, to protect them.I know being a slayer is tuff.You're given a big responsibility, that you have to bear for the rest of your life.It's the biggest responsibility a human has.And you slayers, were chosen to take it.Being in school, we actually learn things, like don't give up.The fate of the world depends on you.My mother never gave up on anybody.You're unlike most slayers.You have a bigger responsibility,The fate of the slayerline, and the world.

Shannon is bruised badly all over her body. She lies in bed, still, covered with bandages.
Shannon-He was a minister, or something...At least, he dressed like one.I thought he was trying to save me...at first.
Buffy-How'd you get to his truck?
Shannon-Bringer's were chasing me.I stopped him, while he was driving, and he agreed to help me.He said that the Bringers were his boys.Then he burned me. (Shannon removes the bandage over the burn on her neck.)
Shannon-He wanted to tell you something. Before he...cut me...he told me to give the slayer a message.He-he said, "I have something of yours."
Scene-Buffy's House-Living Room
Buffy is talking to the gang, and a group of potentials.
Buffy-We got ourselves more baddies.This time he dresses like a preacher.Calls himself, Caleb.Looks like he's working for the First.He says he's got something of mine.It could be another girl, or something else.I don't care what it is.I'm tired of us just staying here, waiting to be picked off, one by one.I say we go there, and when I say we, I mean all of us in this room.

Scene-Living Room
Buffy-We need to start training the girls, to fight our baddies.
I want them all equiped with weapons, of any kind.
Willow-Do we even know where to go?
Buffy-Me and Faith, will go and play hide and seek with the Bringers.Try to find out where their base is.Meanwhile, you guys get ready.(To Faith) You ready?
Faith nods.
Buffy-Let's go.
The two slayers leave the house.

Buffy and Faith are following a Bringer, chatting as they go.
Buffy-You think he see's us?
Faith-Relax.He's too far ahead.I doubt they can hear, as well as they can see.
Buffy-Willow said you helped out Angel.
Faith-Yeah.I had to go through Angel's mind.It's kinda hard to explain.

Buffy-Faith... (stops, looks at the barn-like building that the Bringer walked up to.) Let me guess..That's their best hiding place.
Faith-We better go get the crew.
Scene-Living Room
The potentials are all holding weapons.They are waiting for Buffy and Faith, to come back.
Rona-(to Molly) You nervous?
Molly-A little.
Kennedy-We'll be ready. (looks at her axe)
Rona-I don't trust Buffy.She's taking us to the bad guy's lair.I don't even know if we can fight this thing, and make it back unbruised.
Xander-That's why you were trained.
Rona-(complaining) I came here to be protected by the slayer.I didn't come to join the army.
Dawn-Buffy wouldn't bring you to battle, if she knew you weren't ready.You guys are new to the game.And you've got to know something.Buffy won't fail any of you.I guarantee you'll make it alive.
Rona-Did she fail Chloe?..Or how about Eve?
Xander-You know what..Listen.You doubt Buffy, always thinking she'll lead you into trouble.You newbies are new, and you haven't seen Buffy.You don't have the right to accuse her, because you don't know her.For 7 years, we've been fighting with the slayer.I've seen Buffy.Her good side, bad side, failures, and accomplishments.
Rona-(to herself) I've already seen her failures.
Xander-I'm telling you.She cares about each and everyone of you.She won't fail any of you.
Molly looks at Xander, and frowns.
Buffy and Faith walk into the house.
Buffy-We found our boys.
Dawn-Already?
Buffy-The Bringers aren't that good, in Hide and Seek.We just followed one to their hiding place.
Faith-You guys ready?
Kennedy and Lissa nod.
Buffy-Let's go then.
Scene-Valley Vineyards
Buffy's brought a small gang with her to the vineyard-Faith, Spike, Xander, Dawn, Rona, Kennedy, Lissa, Molly, Injured Girl, and a blonde potential.
Buffy-Listen up!Spike, Kennedy, Molly, & Xander, you're coming with me.The rest of you come in when you get the signal.
Faith-And that is..
Buffy-Screaming.Yelling.And more shouting.
Buffy leads her team inside.
Scene-Wine Cellar
Buffy walks down the steps into the wine cellar, followed by Spike, Kennedy, Molly, & Xander.
Molly-I'm getting the shivers about this place.
Rona-Me, too.
Buffy-Looks like an old vineyard.
Spike-I thought you said they were here.
Bringers come out of the shadows, from behind the barrels of wine, and attack Buffy and gang.
Buffy-(being sarcastic) Surprise!
A Bringer kicks Buffy on the chest, and she walks back a few steps.She jumps up in the air, and kicks him on the chest.She lands back on the ground, and uses her right leg, to kick the Bringer on the head.The Bringer tries to slash her with his dagger, but she ducks.
A Bringer grabs Spike's neck, from behind.He throws Spike, against the wall.Spike hits the wall, and attacks back, by kicking the Bringer on the face.Kennedy swings her axe at a Bringer.The blade of her axe, stabs the Bringer on the head.The Bringer falls dead on the floor.Another Bringer walks up to Kennedy.Kennedy swings her axe, at his neck.A Bringer tries to punch Molly, but she dodges, and punches him back.She grabs a knife from her pocket, and stabs the Bringer's stomach with it.Xander is dodging a Bringer's dagger.
A Bringer stabs Kennedy from behind, and she falls on the ground.
Molly-Kennedy!
Molly is about to run to her, when Caleb comes up to her.
Caleb-Well, well.What do we got here?
Molly raises her knife, and defends herself with it.Caleb walks up to her slowly, and Moilly walks back a few steps.In the background, Buffy and Rona, are fighting bringers.Caleb garbs hold of her head.Molly drops her weapon, and panics.Caleb twists her head, and snaps her neck.She falls on the floor.Faith, and the potentials arrive.
Faith jumps and in the air, and kicks Caleb's face.He falls to the floor, and quickly gets back up.Faith continues to punch him, but Caleb dodges the attacks.Faith jumps up again, attempting to kick him from above.Still in the air, Caleb grabs her left leg and slams her against a wall.She hits the wall, and lands on the floor, unconcious.
Dawn-Are you okay?
Kennedy-No.
Dawn helps her up.The blonde potential, and Injured Girl are fighting side by side.A bringer kicks the blonde potential, on the chest and she hits the wall, behind her.The bringer punches her, and she hits the wall again.Injured Girl dodges a Bringer's kick, by doing a back flip.She tries to punch him again, but he grabs hold of her arm, and twists it.She falls to the ground, in pain.
Xander runs up to Faith, and helps her up.He looks behind him, and sees Caleb.
Behind Caleb, a young potential, named Lissa is laying down on the floor, dead.A puddle of blood is flowing on the ground, beside her body.Dawn, and Kennedy walk up to Lissa's body.
Rona joins them.Rona's face is full of bruises.Beside Lissa's body, is Molly's corpse.Rona cries, and lays her head on Kennedy's shoulder.
Spike-Buffy!Let's get out of here!
Buffy stabs a bringer, then runs to Spike.Buffy looks around, and sees Xander and Caleb.Caleb plunges his thumb into Xander's left eye, gouging it out.Xander screams in agony.
Buffy charges Caleb, knocking Xander away from Caleb.Xander, bleeding from his eye, stumbles back, falling to the ground in front of wine barrels.
Buffy and Spike lift Xander to his feet, and carry him out, one supporting each of his arms. Caleb sits up but doesn't pursue them as they walk out. He stands and smiles while watching them leave.
Buffy-(to the gang) Let's Go!
The blonde potential, and Rona hold Faith, who is still unconcious.The potentials follow Buffy, and Spike.
Caleb smiles, then walks away.
