BtVS and Firefly on EW's List of Best Cult Shows

That was a really cool list. That's awesome that they ranked Buffy so high (well, awesome and totally right...). It was kind of funny; the picture they used for Buffy is my desktop image. There were some really, really good shows on that list. LOST (which should have been right near the top), Arrested Development, The X-Files, Firefly. I've heard Veronica Mars is amazing, but I haven't checked it out yet. Same with Supernatural.

But what about Angel? Where was Angel? He was culty! They talk about him in the chatty rooms (and so much better than Fringe)!
 
Can't believe Doctor Who beats Buffy, but I never really watched the show anyways...

I actually wasn't surprised that Doctor Who beat out Buffy. DW has 49 years of history behind it, it always reinvents itself, and it was probably the first true "cult" show. I've never watched it, but I know its history.

Besides, Buffy was number one cult show on MTV's list three weeks ago, so. 😛
 
Im not surprised doctor who beat buffy at all. its been around for years, being british, i can majorly understand that, and the way it has been reinvented everytime makes it a masterpiece.

Im glad buffy came second though, it is well deserved.
Reckon The X-Files shoud have come at keast 3rd or 4th though.

Happy to see shows like Arrested Development, Veronica, Archer, Firefly and Supernatural on there. And Buffy, of course. I've only started watching AD recently and I find it absolutely hilarious! I love G.O.B. 😀
 
Dang, this list reminds me how much I need to check out Firefly once I finish with Angel and Buffy. Still, though does Buffy really count as cult? I mean it did really well in ratings didn't? I though cult meant a show that didn't do very well, but had a small but very passionate following.
 
Doctor Who beat Buffy? Really? 😱

I know DW is popular and all, but I don't see how it could be better than Buffy... Although I can't really judge since I've never seen it, but I trust my instincts.
 
I remember this artical not too long ago. I would assume its the exact same, but I almost remember Buffy being at the top. If not, maybe I was just nerdly excited that it beat other shows I would have assumed would be ranked higher.
 
Doctor Who's spot as #1 is well-deserved.

And although I'm not a huge fan of Buffy, I appreciate the impact it had on the entertainment industry. It earned that #2 spot.

I admit I love Angel more, but sadly it isn't as well-known or remembered as much as Buffy is.

I dont know why, I was expecting something like the X-Files to be placed at the top. Something a little more mainstream. I will now have to go watch Doctor Who. Im glad Buffy is making the tops of these lists.. she is in the top 3 of the best characters just a year ago or so, right?
 
I'm so proud that BtVS and Firefly are on it! 🙂 But I'm not at all surprised that Doctor Who took first place, but I'm surprised that The X-Files isn't on second or third. Well, it's their opinion. It's not like you can base a list of this kind on facts.
 
Aww almost every show I've ever gotten into, (or loved), is on this list!

Buffy, Popular, Arrested Development, Sunny in Philly!
 
I remember reading that. I'm thrilled that Buffy, Supernatural, and The Comeback (it's criminal that this show only lasted one season. It was freaking hilarious!) made the list. Of course I wish Buffy would have been number one, and I would have ranked Supernatural higher, but then again I am 100% biased. 😀
 
As a cult show I have no problem seeing Doctor Who beating Buffy. Actually I'm quite surprised that Buffy got the number 2 spot. Such a popular thing to say on a place like this. 😀 Not that I'm complaining.

Trusting your instincts about something you haven't seen? Then I guess you have no problem with people not watching/liking Buffy because of their instincts. 😉
