Seventeen years ago today, Buffy, the Vampire Slayer premiered on American television, and our lives changed forever.

To celebrate, I thought we'd delve into the world that captivated all of us. So tell us all:

• Your seventeen favorite episodes
• Your seventeen favorite characters
• Your favorite 17th episode...excluding S1, of course, lol

BtVS brought a lot into my life over the last seventeen years (well, sixteen years, I'm in the UK, lol) so I feel like we need to celebrate this auspicious day!

In no particular order, my 17 fave characters are Willow, Giles, Oz, Tara, Xander, Cordelia, Buffy, Angel, Spike, Faith, Jonathan, Drusilla, Jenny Calendar, Principal Snyder, Glory, the Mayor, The Master.

Narrowing it down to 17 episodes is too hard.

And the 17th episode seems to be some sort of hotspot for awesomeness as I love all those episodes. I'll probably go with Superstar, though. I've always enjoyed that one. It's not a stand-out ep. but as mentioned above I like Jonathan and this is a good episode for him.

Favourite 17th Episode: Passion. A legendary episode in the verse.

17 Favourite Characters: Buffy, Angel, Riley, Cordelia, Oz, Giles, Faith... And there is absolutely no way I'm making it to 17. I barely made it to 7!

17 years is crazy!! BtVS is older then when Buffy was first called!

Favourite 17th episode is really hard, I love Passion, Enemies and Forever are some of my favourite episodes. Superstar and Normal Again are interesting episodes, though Lies My Parents Told Me, is one of my least favourite.

Think I'd go with Enemies though.

Favourite characters: Willow, Buffy, Angel, Tara, Anya, Xander, Giles, Andew, Faith, Cordelia, Oz, Riley, Vi, Kendra, Glory, The Mayor, Bringer #4 (basically everyones above Spike is what I'm getting at 😉 )

Favourite Episodes (no particular order): The Gift, Prophecy Girl, The Witch, Whats My Line P1&2, Becoming pt1&2, Earshot, Graduation Day pt1&2, Villains, Two to Go, Grave, chosen, Bring on the Night, Showtime, Tough Love, Innocence and Surprise, Homecoming (technically I cheated by combining some two parts, also I hadn't realised how many of my favourite episodes were two parters!)

17th Episode: 'Normal Again'. It's actually my favorite ep of the series. I just love the idea of everything being in Buffy's imagination. I love eps like that. Plus, that scene where Buffy says goodbye to her parents is so beautifully acted. I love it.

For favorite 17th episode, I'd have to say "Forever." So sad, so beautiful. The last scene is one of the series' most wrenching moments (though the end of "Passion" gives it stiff competition).

So, 17th episode: Passion, as I think this is the episode that hooked me on the show, but I love Normal Again and Lies my Parents Told me....

I was surprised when I did my favorite characters - they have certainly changed from when I was watching the series and through the years.
