BtVS/AtS Dream Cast

The horror of all horrors is happening: Buffy's getting a reboot. Let's face it, pretty much none of us want this to happen. We love the series and the actors who brought it to life... and we don't want anyone other than Joss rebooting the franchise.

But what if one day, Joss did remake the series? Who would star in your dream cast? Re-cast both BtVS and AtS with any actor/actress you think would work for that role and why. Post pics if you can!

To start the thread off I'm going to shamelessly steal one of the ideas from the first link. Now don't get me wrong, I can't ever imagine anyone playing Spike as perfectly as James Marsters did. But the pics of Heath Ledger (RIP 🙁) that ms_scarletibis posted in her picspam have made me think he would have done a very good job.

N.B.: I know no one other than the original cast will ever do the roles justice, but this is just for fun. Dream cast away!

Ellen Page as Willow?

Amanda Seyfried as Buffy? (Honestly, I can't really see anyone but SMG in this role but if I had to pick someone, Seyfried is as good as any. She can certainly do the innocent yet fierce thing that Buffy has going on.)

Jen Anistan as Joyce? Is she too young for this role?

I was thinking Zooey Deschannel as Willow, but then she would outshine every other character by a mile.

I love Jake, and I think he'd make an excellent Angel.

I also agree with Amanda for Buffy. She's young enough looking, and has the acting chops to pull it off. The only other actresses I could think of that could pull off Buffy are Kristen Bell

and Annalyn McCord

Heath Ledger would make a great Spike, agreed. Also, James Dean - obviously.

...or James Franco (who played James Dean, actually).

And Kean, Ellen Page for Willow is just perfect. 🙂

What about Giles? No one has casted him yet. How about Sean Penn?

I think Katie Cassidy should be cast as Cordelia (he looks very good as a brunette)

I really like the idea of Michelle Rodrigues as Faith. She's really pretty, and totally badass.

Miley Cyrus for Dawn (I know, I know, but she's actually a pretty good actress.)

Some good choices there for sure. Katie Cassidy as Cordy would be pretty good, I think.
Michelle Rodriguez is an interesting choice too, but I don't find her that attractive. The bad ass side of her works, yeah, but I'd need someone a little hotter. (Like Rose McGowan)

Good choices though. Heath Ledger would have been awesome too.

I'd like to see a blonde Leighton Meester as Buffy. I know she can act brilliantly, she has the heart and snark combo perfect, and we know she can pun well.

I can see all of this (especially Colin Firth as Giles, that would be SO great), except I really can't imagine anyone else playing Buffy. It feels just wrong.

Weird tho, I always thought Leighton Meester would be great as Faith. She just needs to wear something trashy--er.
