If you were to go and live on a deserted island and you could only bring one show between these two, which would you pick? It might be easy to decide for some, but definitely not for me! I finally decided to go for AtS. 🙂

Your turn! Extrapolate a bit on why you picked one show in particular if need be.

Ha! Ok, Buffy caught my eye since day 1. Every single episode is hilarious to me. What sucks is some of the arcs. Overall, BtVS is the funnier series and I'd rather laugh than cry or be pissed over the Connor/Cordy/Jasmine arc every time lol

BtVS for me! Don't get me wrong, AtS is amazing as well, but there are a lot of dull episodes and I think of it as the more serious series.

Zalos agrees: I bet it would have been harder to pick if Tara had been on AtS, eh!

Not really. If Tara had been on AtS, I still would have chosen BtVS. AtS has hotter looking people on it, but I'd rather go with funny, than to go for visually pleasing 😛

I like Buffy so much better. For one I hate Angel (character) so it's only natural I'd not like AtS nearly as much as BtVS. I mean, I love both... but I like Buffy WAYYYYYYY more

I have to go with Buffy. Two extra seasons is obviously a bonus so there would be plenty more hours. Besides, there seems to be a wider range of genres in BtVS. Comedy, Drama, Romance, Musical, Detective, Action. I don't think I could get as bored with Buffy, Giles and Willow by side.

season 8 issue #39. Most of us want to throw away Ats boxsets.

I chose BtVS. Since I'm on deserted island I need 2 more extras seasons. Plus, there's more Fuffy scenes. And Giles! 🙂

Totally agree with your spoilery stuff.
There's no question it'd be BtVS.

AtS I enjoyed but rarely rewatch. I'm not the world's biggest Angel (the character) fan and aside from Wes, Cordelia and Lilah, I don't think much of the supporting characters in AtS either.

On the other hand I love almost everything about BtVS, and the things I don't love (i.e. Bangel) I can put aside when I rewatch and enjoy the other things going on.
 
Angel!! I'm loyal to my boy 😉 Plus Angel has my ship on it. I love Btvs but I have to pick Angel it will always be my favorite.

I wonder....Dow the fact that you watched Angel before Buffy have any influence on your decision?

Probably but I only watched Buffy because of Angel, I had no plans to ever watch Buffy before that.

ATS Is Okay, But I Don't Really Like Angel
 
It would have to be Buffy. I can only watch Angel episodes the once but I always rewatch Buffy.
 
I will take the first season, first half of the second (until fred and pylea arc) and the last season of Angel. I will take the first four seasons of Buffy. There.. that would be perfect.

It's a much funnier show and I've noticed that I care more about the characters and the stories in general when I'm watching BtVS.
The extra 2 seasons is also a great bonus as Cait already said.
