Question BtVS or Ats...

The West Wing. Oh it has to be a Whedon show. Firefly. Not that either. Ok then let me think.

Right now it feels like I'd pick Ats. Just feel more in the mood for it. I usually rewatch both shows at the same time. Well in the order they were aired and what's kept me from doing it lately (2 + years) is partially about wanting to watch only the later seasons of Buffy (not that the early seasons don't have a lot of great episodes) and Angel.

For Btvs is that it's more than 30 episodes longer. But at the moment that isn't enough. If for anything I've watched more special features on the Buffy disc than on the Angel ones. 😉

I choose Buffy, if ONLY because I'd have more episodes to watch than if I had AtS... Seriously, 7 seasons or 5, people? I'd really miss Smile Time and the Spike/Angel dynamic, though. Otherwise, I'm cool w/ Buffy

I must say Buffy. Though I've only seen one season of Angel, so it may not be my final opinion.

But Buffy is great for laughs, and Angel is far too serious for my taste. The only things it has going for it is the dance scene in Season 1 and the singing at the beginning of Season 2. XD

But I love Buffy more. I'd rather be a Scooby than a part of Angel Investigations. Sadly, the Scoobies don't get business cards, or else that'd be my signature.

Definitely BtVS. I've only seen and have the first season of AtS on DVD because it really didn't do much for me, so I never bothered getting the other seasons.

My vote goes to Btvs. I pretty much like all the seasons of Btvs, which is not the case with Ats because I only like the show's first 3 seasons. Also, I just enjoy the episodes of Btvs more in general.

I'm gonna be one of the few that votes for ATS. I love Angel, and I haven't seen ATS as many times as BTVS. Right now if I were to do a rewatch, it's be ATS.

But, I'd love to do what Sco says: mix & match. I'd take s2&3 of Buffy with S1, 2 and 4 of ATS. Aw hell, even though it's not the best season, I have got to have my Spangel of s5!!

Buffy. Bias. Love SMG and the dynamic between cast. Great distinct characters and inspired me very early on.

Angel doesn't win for me because of season 5, lack of female cast, as well as a (to me) lackluster first 2 seasons. I love it, though. Angel, Cordy and Wes FTW! Butnotthiswin...

I only just finished S3 of Angel and while I love them both I'd have to go with Buffy. If I'm stranded on a desert island, with nothing to do but build a raft, I'll need some laughs. Angel's just way to gritty.

Buffy!! Better written characters, better acted. Better plot lines.

Carpenter and Boreanz's acting got better as time went on, but not enough to carry a show, in my opinion. I also just couldn't get into their characters as much.

I enjoyed Angel, but only as a side show.

Personally it would be AtS for me. Its darker, which is "my style" Also the characters in my opinion are better. Even though i love buffy, and some of the characters, there really isn't a character, except Lindsey, who I don't like on AtS

Plus i dont think i would want to stay on an island with no Amy :O

If i could mix and match, i would go (saying i can have 7 seasons) Buffy - S5, S6, S7 and Ats - S1 S2 S4 S5 (Harmony!!!) 😀

It would be Angel for me. Hard to pick, but if I had to.. yeah, Angel. It's more my kind of show, with the violence and the torture and the death. Plus it has a twisted sense of humour. All good things.

ANGEL ANGEL ANGEL! Definetely Angel! I lost interest in BtVS after s3 and I can't stand Buffy in s4 and in AtS (Sanctuary). And I can't really relate to the show. Angel instead... everything about him resonated in me and deeply affected me. Plus is a more complex show - and character- more adult, with a lot of things I'vealways adored: crime and redemption, suffering and hope, dark and shadows, in depth analysis of character, choices and consequences. Plus Angel is more realistic: he never had the free card, deus ex-machina often presents in Buffy final battles.

Definitely Buffy. I actually never even watched Angel's series until Season 5, and only then because of Spike and the fact that there was no more Buffy. Angel's series, as far as I'm concerned, is only a couple of steps above "Highlander: The Raven" to me. Neither spinoff seemed to be nearly as good as the mother show.

Angel. Buffy has much higher highs but I think there are less 'bad' Angel episodes and a more consistent level of quality.

I love the character Angel but for me I'd have to say Buffy. I love watching the development of the characters from the start. There's nothing better than watching Buffy and Faith fight it out for the first time or watching Buffy and Angel fall in love. Buffy is just such a great show.

I voted for Angel. I love both series but I've been enjoying Angel more than BTVS recently.
