Hmmm, I just realized a really weird coincidence the 00-01 season of both shows and books and latest video game that takes place during that season .There was a whole hell of alot of portal beeds and the like happening. Granted the books and the video game aren't offical sources. But here is what I found:
Buffy/Angel Unseen trilogy novels: Portals open all over Sunnydale unleashing all kinds of monsters on the town.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds vidoe game: Dimensional bleed opens portal to alternate sunnydale also as dead allies and foes show up in real sunnydale in a contest taht Ethan Rayne is having with the First
Angel: The whole Pylea arc: Magical books open up magical portals to another dimension (Lornes home)
BTVS: The Gift: Dawn's blood temporarily opens up a portal to other dimensions unleashing all kinds of demons all over Sunnydale (for a few minutes)
Just thought it was kind of funny that all of these universalrifts happened all on the same year.
