It's the entire seventh season!!!!

Who can kick Santa's butt better than Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Join us Christmas Day and Boxing Day as SPACE brings you 26 glorious hours of Buffy!

Tune in December 25 @ 10pm ET watch the final two episodes of Season Six. Then stay tuned as SPACE launches right into our premiere of 22 episodes of Season Seven, the final season, back-to-back, beginning December 25 @12am ET.

But wait, there's more! The marathon comes to a close on December 26 @ 10pm ET by bringing you the 1992 cult classic movie that started it all, starring Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry.

After you've filled up on turkey and stuffing, get your fill of Buffy.

OMG this is FANTASTIC!!!! Go Canadians!! 🙂

I would love that, when usually your sitting around Xmas and Boxing Day, nothing on TV, now it would be Buffy all the time.

Shame its Canada though

:: the ignorant American LazyDolphin lumbers into this thread, looks around, and blurts out (in a booming, nasal voice) ::

Hey, buddy? Hey, c'mere a sec. Now just what in tarnation is that Boxing Day y'all keep natterin' on about, anyway?

...seriously - pardon my ingorance. I've heard of Boxing Day, but I have no idea what it is. Could someone please enlighten me?

Or even if you wanted to get all of Season 7 on tape!

What I like about Space is that inbetween commercials they run little clips like outtakes, interviews, overviews etc. Space is great!!!!

26 hours, I don't think I'd watch it, if I had Canadian TV, even for a thing like Buffy, 26 hours straight is a long run.

26 Hours of Buffy on Space!

The Space network up here in the frozen tundra is playing 26 hours of Buffy from 10pm est Christmas Eve to midnight Christmas night! We start with "Two to Go", and "Grave", to be followed by ALL of S7, back to back to back. Then they're gonna play that silly movie...so if you get this channel, tune it in while eating your turkey!

Merry Christmas to all!

Hey Lazydolphin!

Boxing Day is the 26th of December. It is named Boxing Day because it is supposed to be the day you box up your presents and put them where they ought to go (closet, drawers, refrigerator-only if you get beer for Christmas), etc. It is the biggest shopping day of the year up here, since we are not sensible like Americans and have our big sales AFTER Christmas. It is a statutory holiday, like Christmas and New Year's Day.

BTW, thanks to The Powers That Be for routing this thread correctly!

Actually that's a different definition of Boxing Day that I remember, but after researching, I see why!!!

Boxing Day is a holiday observed in the United Kingdom and much of the Commonwealth on December 26.

There is much dispute over the true origins of Boxing Day, but one common story of the holiday's origins is that servants used to receive Christmas gifts from their employers on December 26, after the family celebrations. These were generally called their Christmas boxes.

Boxing Day is now a public holiday in the UK, and traditionally a day of sport. Like other public holidays which may occur on a non-working day, the "day off" will occur on the first day after the public holiday that would otherwise be a working day, though Boxing Day itself remains on the 26th.

In Canada, Boxing Day is also observed as a public holiday, and is a day when stores, especially electronics stores, sell their excess Christmas inventory at radically reduced prices.

In Ireland the 26th is known as St Stephen's Day or Wren's Day.

Except I'm not dumb enough to actually GO shopping on Boxing Day! 🙂

It's best if you happen to be on the west coast of Canada, because everything is 3 hours earlier.

You come home from Christmas dinner at 9pm Dec. 25. Turn on the TV. The marathon has begun. Watch a few episodes, go to sleep, and you sleep through "Him". Wake up turn on the TV, and begin again. So nice of the Ontario-yos to let us sleep through "Him".

Thanks, redslayer, that's a much better explanation than I had. I was also wrong on the dates for the slayathon...0 for 2...

Hey N4H! How are ya! I'd sleep thru Him anyway...

No problem!!! Well it starts at 10 pm on Christmas Day for us with the last two eppys of Season 6. So I will be enjoying them after I enjoy my dinner!

Hey SlayerAngel. If you're going to do that, here's another thing you can do to help you share the experience. Really that's what the marathon is all about.

Figure out what time the Canadian marathon is going to begin where you are.

Go to the messageboards for the Space channel at spacecast. (It would be bad manners to post a link here to another messageboard, so I won't do that. You'll have to Google it.)

Now we get to the cool part.

When a marathon is happening on the Space channel, all the members of the Spacecast forum get together and discuss the marathon as it's happening.

You can join in. We don't care if you're not Canadian. We Canadians are known for being polite and friendly to everybody.

A couple of the members at that particular forum are jerky, cliquey turds though. They must be from another country. That's cool though. That means anyone can join.
