I'm wondering about What Would Buffy Do?... I've read some things about it recently and I started thinking I would like it.. or find it interesting or something.. The only BtVS-book I've read is.. well, different chapters from BtVS & Philosophy (which is quite interesting in my opinion).

I just read Heat.. a Buffy/Angel crossover.. was good.. it involved Jheira from 'She' in Angel S1.

wow. I can't wait until they come out.

So far I've read the Angel Chronicles 1-3, Monster Island (really good), and Seven Crows which is also really good. I'm currently read Cursed.

What are you top books you liked and what are your top books you didn't like. Kinda give me ideas of what books I should get next.

What Would Buffy Do is a good book epo, it really got me thinking. It really goes in depth about the whole spiritual look within Buffy. The chapters that really got my thinking were, '3-What Death can teach us about living', '5_Humor as Power', and '6-The Power of Friendship'.
If you see it in a bookstore, you should pick it up.

Thanks Paige, I think I will. Although, there are no BtVS-books in any bookstores anywhere near where I live.. But I might order it online when I get more money some day. It seems interesting.

I've moved away from reading the novels and have really gotten into the more essay, analytical driven books, so that What Would Buffy Do one sounds great. I'll have to check that out 🙂

It sounds very interesting. When I turn 16 and get my own car I will go and get it. I don't like shopping with my parents. 29 more days until my birthday!😀

Really OT but Whoa, you'll get your own car when you're 16..?!

What other good none-fiction-books are there..? Except for What Would Buffy Do and BtVS & Philosophy..? Does anyone know?

Seven Seasons of Buffy: Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Discuss their Favorite Show.

Reading the Vampire Slayer

Five Seasons of Angel: Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Discuss their Favorite Show.

The Watcher's Guide Vol. 1

That's what I have, well that and BTVS & Philosophy, but you already have that one.

Yah. I might have to check those out too. There are so many books good books out there. So hard to chose.

Also epo, might wanna check out www.slayage.tv some good essays on there (presuming thats what you want). Also they released a book which I think is "Fighting The Forces

Will probably post my Media coursework in the summer (once the results are out as im afraid people will copy and I'll get disqualified). Its about Buffy as a postmodern show and whether the representation of Buffy is a unique one or a simulacra (representation of a prior representation). Got a review session with my teacher next week about my first draft, but he said to me the other day "It will easily get into level 6" which is apparently top.

Slayer by Keith Topping is a good guide to Buffy (he also does Angel, Roswell etc), you have the eppy guide, Let Me Introduce You to Logic (mistakes, bloopers) what songs appeared on the show, extracts from Joss and the others, Awsome which is the bits he though were good from a particular episode and my fav the quotes. He also does a bit where he describes the episode and its meaning.

Thanks Ash, yeah that is what I'm looking for.
And that's cool, really. I'd love to read that, in the summer then, hehe. Sounds really interesting, and it must be so much fun to write.

TheChosenOne, thanks, that sounds good. I'm more into the wole essay type of books than the guide type, but I'd probably like it too.

The Watcher's Guide Part 3 contains an essay driven section as well. That was the best part of the book. They have alot of great stuff like the evolution of the character of Jonathon and how he was the hero of his own story, and how Buffy can be a family show given its pro-feminist subject matter. Very interesting stuff there!

I've been reading the Watcher's Guide Vol. 1 a lot lately and it's really interesting to see all the stuff that was expunged from the original script....

Ooh I briefly looked at a review of the latest Angel's Diaries or whatever its called (Angel version of Watcher's Guide) and Lilah had a baby!

Anyway I've been reading "Slayer Slang: A BtVS Lexicon", well I was until I turned 18, been kinda social since. Good book, I intend to use it as fun revision for English Language.
