I'll agree with you there. I felt that way about commitment... and now there's a ring on my finger. lol.
I didn't think Tara was the right person for Willow but that didn't stop that relationship from happening. We need more time for them to interact when they're not mortal enemies 😛

I don't know if Buffy if that person for Faith either, although I won't deny that there was some wicked sexual tension between those two. It's definitely a valid point that Faith would probably use any method available (like sex) to get her way, but then again we can't be sure she would do it with any guy, or can we?

Maybe deep down inside Faith wants to open up to someone and when she finds the right someone who shows her they are worthy, she will.
I kind of think that you are either born gay or you are straight. I think its the argument of nurture over nature. In my opinion Faith was either born gay or she wasn't and the fact that she seems to be in the guy camp suggests that she's not gay to me.

Well there were hints all along she was bisexual, and that the female attaction part of it was repressed. Nearly every female friend I have has come out as bi during the time I've known them, and it they do not always know right away that they are, its something they discover over time.
I didn't like how she simply said she was "gay" from then on out, I think she was and is Bi but chooses to go with the simpler idea of telling people she is Lesbian from season 4 on is because she think shes going to be with Tara always, and will not be "going back to boy town".
Now that shes free to date anyone I think we'll see a more realistic bisexual take on the character.

I think the time to explore Fuffy has passed. I think that if Buffy was going to experiment with Faith, it would have been at around the time of "Bad Girls." They've both grown up a lot since then. A lot of really heavy stuff has gone down between them. I don't see them ever trusting one another enough to get that close. Working together? Yes. But letting their respective guards down around one another? No. Unless a spell or deliberate manipulation of some sort is involved, I don't see it happening.
If the comics are any indicator I fear you're right. It completely killed that. :cry:
Yeah, I think whatever trust they had was shattered in season 3 when Buffy fought Faith to save Angel. I think only a little of that trust was rebuilt in season 7, but because of that, even if they both were gay I don't think they would become a couple 🙂
If they both were I think they still could, even if they aren't!! They just have to actually be near one another, talk to one another, work a few things out. Actually have a meaningful conversation about everything that's happened. If Faith or Buffy could do that!! haha We haven't seen much of that.
I can't see it happening. Buffy forgave Angel (sorry to all Spuffy fans for bringing this up), in my opinion, because she loved him so much before he broke her trust, and she also knew that it wasn't actually Angel doing all those hurtful things. Buffy didn't love Faith in season 3, sure they could have been very close friends but Faith destroyed that trust. I'm not saying Buffy didn't have a hand in it, but Faith took it too far when she took Buffy's identity and then messed with her friends and then boyfriend. Buffy traveled all the way to LA to get revenge on her. I don't think Buffy will ever forgive her for making her feel like such a victim.
That's because Faith saw all the great things Buffy had and wanted them herself. She wanted to feel..wanted. But Buffy has forgiven people for far worse things. She could still find it in herself to forgive Faith. Faith just needs to play it cool 😛
But no one made Buffy feel like a victim before, Faith took it to a whole new level that not even Angelus' torture games could match. Faith made THE SLAYER feel like a victim. Personally I don't see Buffy forgiving that 🙁
I guess you have to be an optimist to believe Fuffy will actually happen. But that doesn't mean that the Fuffyness that we've already seen, although not romantic, but still great to watch, was well done, and can leave ya thinking. If they had more time together they might have been able to mend some things, but they didn't, so it is still up in there air. There is never a definite no to anything like this, in the Buffyverse.
I wouldn't agree completely about the victim thing, Spike made Buffy a victim in the worse possible way in my opinion and she forgave him. I think the difference with Faith is that Buffy see's what she could become, she know's there is darkness in her and it scares her. I think maybe she feels that if she's around Faith that darkness will break out. And honestly I think she still holds a grudge over Faith trying to kill Angel twice. Angel is like the line with Buffy, Faith crossed it.
A lot of the time that Buffy and Faith spent together also took place after she turned to the dark side so to speak. Faith was confused, scared, angry, jealous, greedy, lonely!! Sure, it was a horrible thing to do, well there were a few horrible things. But others have done far worse, Angel turned and Killed her friends... tormented the people she loved. Spike.. spike tried to .. and was evil before they got together. Couldn't Buffy one day come to terms and understand all these things that Faith did in a time of anger, frustration and disconnection. Even forgive her, like she has her 'Boyfriends' . Yea, I know Spike got a soul, then Angel regained his soul, but they still hurt her after that aswell. Everyone makes mistakes, Faith just tends to make big ones. Buffy will see that, someday! 😉
