Buffy and Faith...Seriously, Now

A lot of the time that Buffy and Faith spent together also took place after she turned to the dark side so to speak. Faith was confused, scared, angry, jealous, greedy, lonely!! Sure, it was a horrible thing to do, well there were a few horrible things. But others have done far worse, Angel turned and Killed her friends... tormented the people she loved. Spike.. spike tried to .. and was evil before they got together. Couldn't Buffy one day come to terms and understand all these things that Faith did in a time of anger, frustration and disconnection. Even forgive her, like she has her 'Boyfriends' . Yea, I know Spike got a soul, then Angel regained his soul, but they still hurt her after that aswell. Everyone makes mistakes, Faith just tends to make big ones. Buffy will see that, someday! 😉

Were not saying that Buffy is perfect and Faith is the only flawed one, we are just coming at it from Buffy's POV. And all their interaction after Faith turned to the dark side pretty much compromised of them fighting. Faith hit Buffy in all the sore places, she has hurt her moe than I think Faith even knows or Buffy would ever admitt.

Faith has also helped Buffy, saved Buffy, and showed she cared about her. Not in so many words of course. And not in the 'I want to jump your bones' sort of way. But she did care. Who's to say Buffy doesn't like the dark side, take a look at her boyfriends 😉

What do Fuffy shippers do for fun? And there's always a chance it could happen somewhere down the line!! I'll imagine with you!

Woo hoo! Another one!
Well, I as a Fuffy shipper, write fanfiction (I've actually posted one here in the fanfiction section too) look up pictures of them two, read essays on the two, watch/make videos of them two (another thing I've done, check out my youtube profile!)

Well I'm just going to have to post some of the Fuffy pics I have!

Oh, loved the one you posted GATEGOD. Saved it ofcourse! ^_^

'Boy' being the operative word...

Maybe Buffy could say the hell with it, give up the 'Boys' says she's through with them and all there evil ways. And changes! She has been through quite alot, alot more than Willow. It's not totally out there for Buffy to take a break from guys for a while. Looking back at her past history it wouldn't be a total shocker. After Spike, Angel, Riley... that weirdo in college. I dare not speak his name. Just because she likes Boys doesn't mean she can't also like girls. Buffy doesn't even mind if there alive.. 'eww' but really she did, but she still... you know. So I still don't think it's too far a stretch to think that they could have gotten together if Faith had stayed on for more seasons of Buffy, or if Buffy had an eight season on t.v. or even further down the road in the comics if we ever get to see them have a civilized conversation, without the other accusing the other of something accuse-able worthy.

:buble_eye:theman: Hot hot and more hot.

The only fan fic I've read about the two was on here 😀
Fuffy Fanfictions Awards

Under nominees entitled Not Yet. That was hot 😉

: king : I should try and do a Fuffy video! 😀 because now I'm addicted to the Fuffy!! The Fuffy!! It's just so hot.

You've got it! 😀 Just something about them two getting it on... The chosen two... Two hot chicks with super-powers... Opposite personalities... HOT.

Hehe... The amount of fics that I've read, the story-line being 'Faith had feelings for Buffy all along, Buffy and Faith end up going to a club/bar and getting drunk together, where they end up kissing...'

(Not that I'm guilty of using that story-line myself.) :: Looks around guiltily ::

I kind of think that you are either born gay or you are straight. I think its the argument of nurture over nature. In my opinion Faith was either born gay or she wasn't and the fact that she seems to be in the guy camp suggests that she's not gay to me.

I dunno, but I think that alot of gays and bisexual people would disagree with you. Me being one of them. I define neither as bi, gay or straight and I can't imagine myself being born as anything in particular as I also define myself as asexual. I think that this discussion, about the possibility of a Buffy/Faith relationship, is lacking two aspects:

1) Y'all seem to have a very static definition of sexuality, something that alot of people can't identify with. I do not think that Buffy or Faith woke up one morning and though "what the hell, I'm bisexual now!" because they felt the slayer/slayer sexual-tension. There are plenty of situations where they could have explored this tension, but...

2) Willow and Taras kiss in season 5 was the first onscreen lesbian kiss on the show and it was pretty darn innocent. You really think that they'd show a pure sexual (and probably pretty agressive) exploration between two teenge girls in season 3? Hm... probably not.

Just because they didn't run around with a rainbow flag doesn't mean that they were not able to feel attracted to each other. Or any other woman for that matter.

You can find the same sex attractive and not be gay/bi. I can personally comment on how attractive the likes of Jessica Alba are, but I have no intentions of day dreaming about kissing her.

I just don't think either Buffy or Faith feel romantically attached with each other enough to take it any further.

I'm completely aware that they don't feel that way, and probably ever won't... It's just fun to imagine, talk about, pretend... It's just all in good fun and a bit of wishful thinking, we're not saying it's a fact or literal.

Who says you need to feel romantically attached to someone to "take things further"? 😉
I don't believe that anything romantic ever went on between Buffy and Faith, but that does not exclude sexual attraction and what not. It's obvious that the slaying thing brings them two together in a way that no one else could, and I'm pretty sure that pure sexual attraction is involved there.

We're not saying that Buffy or Faith were incapable of feeling something for each other because they were women we are saying that their characters never really hinted at anything maybe happening or showed any inclination towrds one another (especially Buffy). There were hints for quite some time about Willow's bisexuality but there was never any question of Buffy's.

I can give you a list of plenty of situations where you can hint a kind of attraction between Buffy and Faith... Trust me, it's a long list 😉
I think Faith brought out the lezzy in Buffy cause she obviously wasn't that gay around anyone else.

Oh I don't know, just watching Reptile Boy and Buffy was definitely quite distracted with playing with Willow's hair, and come on, why exactly was Buffy so keen to get Willow into a trampy outfit and hang around watching her try it on all afternoon in Halloween?

Kidding, but my point is you can read that sort of context into a lot of the interactions on the show. I mean Xander made remarks about Angel, Spike et al that hinted at attraction, at times the lines and hints were just for comic effect.

The thing is though, that both Joss and the writes played around with subtext alot, sometimes for comic effect sometimes for other effects. But Joss seems to be very fond of the thought of subtext being more than just subtext...

In my world, heroes bugger each other senseless. Not all of them, but more than you'd think, and probably not who you're thinking. But seriously, Anybody here care to tell Apollo and the Midnighter how a hero should behave? To their faces?

That quote made me LOL so much, and also it shows that Joss is not the one to deny subtext.

He also said this about subtext on BtVS:
What may or may not have happened is entirely up to the viewer, that's what makes it art. Having said that, I know EXACTLY what happened and it's funny that I'm never going to tell anyone.

Don't you just love the guy? 🙂

I can see it now... They're beathing each other up, Faith grabs Buffy and starts to roughly kiss her... 😉 Much like the Buffy/Spike scenario in Smashed 😉

Yes please! 😀 I'd much prefer that to the Spuffy Smashed scene since anything dealing with Spuffy just.....

Anyways..

I actually read a fic that had that scenario. It was so perfect! Even though I'm a Fuffy 'shipper I was always skeptical of fic and wanted it written right. And I gotta say it was written so in character. Titled "While You Were Sleeping" by Kelly Smith. She has amazing work.

I don't know.

Ultimately, my reasons for saying it isn't going to happen don't have anything to do with the characters' sexuality. I mean, I do think the fact that Buffy has never shown any such inclination is a stumbling block, but not an insurmountable one. Instead, I think their history makes it pretty much impossible. I don't want to give away spoilers for the comics, but let me just say that Faith's inferiority issues are still very much alive and present when it comes to Buffy. Faith may be attracted to Buffy, but I think any sexual attraction that we see is an offshoot of another kind of attention. Faith doesn't want to sleep with Buffy; Faith wants to be Buffy.
