Buffy and Xander together?

Hey there everyone 🙂

In 5.02, "Beneath You," I had a pretty interesting thought when Nancy (right?) asked if there was anyone there who hasn't slept with each other... And I immediately thought Buffy and Xander!

I mean, after having relationships with two demons, I think she should really just try and get a guy who will actually age along with her. In "Older and Far Away" that blond guy was so hott! Something like that, I mean... but I mean for it to have any significance the guy would have to be Xander.. I mean they've been best friends for a long, long, long time, but they have never dated... they should give it a try by the end of this season!

I definitely agree. In the earlier seasons, I never wanted it to happen. But Season 6, and so far Season 7 have changed my mind. Especially in last night's episode, Beneath You, Xander complimented Buffy nicely in the car on the way to school. He always says these small things about Buffy that kind of hint to you that he's still attracted to her. Well, that's what I believe, and I really think they should get together. It could really work.:: tu ::
 
I particulary enjoyed the scenes between the two of them in Hell's Bells from season 6. The first time I ever considered the possibility of them becoming a couple. I saw what seemed like sparks between them in Beneath You, which has led me to think that perhaps a Buffy/Xander relationship might be on the horizon.
 
Hmm.. you know.. I don't think I'd want Buffy and Xander together. The boat for that has sailed, in my opinion.. but heyyy, what do I know.

In other news, I really liked the episode overall.. just for some reason the worm monster thing didn't do it for me. Other than that, it was fantastic
 
Hmmm, I don't really want them together either. They are like brother and sister to me, and the idea of them hooking up kind of grosses me out.
 
Personally I think that if the writers take that road it would probably turn out better than the B/S relationship. I've actually never thought of a Buffy/Xander relationship because they always seemed like friends, but hey a relationship could work between the two ^_^

He wouldn't go all Riley about her being more powerful than him and right now Buffy needs a normal guy, somebody stable.
 
You guys noticed that too? You know...Xander and Buffy driving Dawn to school? As if they were married and Dawn was their kid? Or how about Xander and Buffy get her a gift for school Or how Xander was always around when Buffy was in trouble in the first episode. Or how they clicked when Willow wasn't there? Or when that one kid though that Buffy was Dawn's mom? Or the other night, when they were in the living room and Xander told Spike to shut up? I mean it almost looked like Xander could take him. Or how Xander was musing how he doesn't have a girl in his life now...and who is there listening...Buffy..

I am glad that we are all on the same wavelength here...
 
The thought of Buffy and Xander going at it honestly scares me. I'm sure Xander is still attracted to her, but who isn't? She made it pretty clear previously she didn't feel that way about him. I doubt that's changed. He's been the one constantly stable element in Buffy's life pretty much. I think she considers him family, but on a brotherly level.
 
I really like Buffy and Xander and i think they would make agood couple but i wouldn't want them to be a couple because if they broke up some time they might not be able to be friends anymore and that would Bite seriously bad.

I agree with you. I sooo absolutely do not want them together at all. To me, the thought of Buffy and Xander together is just so frightening. 😱 I'd be soo grossed out. I just see them as brother and sister as well. Plus like Spike said ' Buffy always like's a monster in her man.' That's is so majorly true too.
 
i think it could work and it could work well, the fact that they've been friends for such a long time only adds to the relationship! ::wave::
 
Buffy & Xander?! Grr Arrgh! No way do I want this kind of relationship between those two. And just as Spike said in S6: The girl needs a little monster in her man..... and definitely not Xander
 
No freakin way! Yuck, they're like Bro and Sis to me now... 😱 And yes, Buffy does like a little monster in her man!

Buffy and Xander would just be disgusting. Eegads!!
Buffy and Spike is where it's at - all the way baby!!
 
Hmmm...I don't really like the idea of Buffy and Xander getting together. To me, it is stepping over the lines of brother/sister relationship. ewww.

However, I don't want Buffy and Spike together either. I hated the idea of those two from the beginning.
 
I agree with those who are in fav of a Buffy/ Spike relationship. The chemistry between them is just great. If that is a no-go area for Joss Whedon then he should get Dawn and Spike together.
