Buffy and Xander together?

I don't like the thought of Xander and Buffy together either, they are just so different and Buffy seems to like a little more to her men! 🙂
 
I dunno, I'm kinda curious. It's true that Buffy usually goes for someone with a little more 'oomph' than Xander, but Xander's only been with people who don't bring out more in him than needed (granted, Anya was a demon but a harmless one who got more interested in buying a nice home than defeating evil).

We've never seen Xander pushed to his limits, and nothing could do that better than being involved with a Slayer - the ultimate daily life-and-death routine. Remember the finale of season 2? Xander was meant to tell Buffy to hold off until the (beaten by Angel) Willow could do the spell, but what did he do? He simply said "kick his ass"! There's a dark side right there.
 
Buffy and Xander could work due to all the history they have - they know both the good and bad in each other. However it would totally force Willow out of the equation and she is too vulnerable right now and Buffy and Xander would do what is best for Will rather than give in to any sexual desire they have for each other.

On the other hand - I wish Buffy would just give Spike a break and tell him she loves him! Perhaps the only thing to take away his insanity would be for Buffy to admit she truly loves him...............
 
I think it COULD work... but I don't want it to. It'd just be weird for me. I can see him getting back with Anya believe it or not... or even with Willow, if she decides to go back that way. Buffy and Spike have a chemistry, for all he's nuts.
 
Or how about the time when Nancy asked Xander if his girlfriend(referring to Buffy) always this strong? And then Xander just almost swallows his tongue?
 
My theory is that Buffy is at a point where she'd like things to progress, but Xander as gotten so used to the idea that they're just friends, that he's missing any and all hints she's dropping. The episode where Willow came back really convinced me of this; Xander's phone # under Family numbers, pictures of Buffy and Xander together on her bedroom wall. Yup. I think Buffy has finally fallen for the Zeppo.

I also think that was the major motivation behind the exchange between Willow and Xander in episode 7.04, when Will told Xander she was over him. Clearly, a Buffy/Xander relationship would not hurt her like it once would have.
 
what about Anya, she and xandar are perfect for each other, they will always be together in my mind
 
Interesting turn. The show was always centered about B/A and at the start they did even like each other. And Cordy from the start liked Angel, they hooked up. Xander from the start liked Buffy, the ycould do that 2. Though I don't think it's gonna happend! But if I look like how Buffy will be when she's 70 or so and not slaying any more (duh). I can see her sitting out front the house with Xander, just ... playing chess or so. Yeah I could really see that!
 
no, i can't emphasise this more, no. I don't think Buffy and Spike worked at all, and i know that xander and buffy wouldn't work. Buffy needs someone who can keep upwith her, stand with her, not fall down on top of her. And xander would feel inadaquate, and it would be uncomfortable putting too much strain on thoer relationship. Personally i hope that xander and Anya work things out. And I guess I always hold hope for buffy and angel even though i know it will never happen.
