This may sound a little stupid, due to the fact that I could probably find out if I did enough research, but I've been at work all day and I think I can trust the people here for a reliable answer (as opposed to my half-asleep research) 😛

I have the Buffy and Angel box sets, and have seen them both. I am wanting to watch them both again for the first time in about a year. I'd really like to watch them in chronological order this time, as I didn't have Angel at the time I watched Buffy.

My question was: At which point in the buffy series should I start watching angel?

More specifically, I'd like to know after which Buffy episode do I watch the first Angel episode?

Furthermore, after that, do I just alternate Buffy/Angel episode by episode after that to keep the chronology? Or is there some specific order? I would assume that when a Buffy/Angel season concluded and the next season began it may mess the order up.

I apologize for the lengthy question, but if anyone has a proper list of the Buffy/Angel combined episode chronology or would have the patience to make one up, I think it would be great to have a link to it in the FAQ section.

It's something I would see a lot of fans with both box sets wanting to know.

Thanks to anyone who can help. 🙂

1) Watch the first three seasons of Buffy.

2) Season Four: Start off with Buffy 4.01 (The Freshman) and then follow that with Angel 1.01 (City Of) - alternating Buffy/Angel for this season and the next.

3) When you get to Buffy S6/Angel S3 you watch the first two episodes of Angel (Heart Throb and That Vision Thing) then the first two episodes of Buffy (Bargaining Part One and Bargaining Part Two) before alternating Angel/Buffy etc.

4) For Buffy S7 and Angel S4 you alternate Buffy/Angel.

5) Angel S5 is on it's own!
