Buffy/Angel Crossover

I've posted about this before, but now I'm looking for a more definite answer. I was wondering about how in Angel, when the sun was blotted out, did they not hear anything about it in Sunnydale.

A few people responded, saying they thought they remembered it being mentioned briefly, possibly in a news broadcast or someone saying something about it in passing.

I can't find it anywhere so now I'm asking: Does anyone know definitively if this actually does happen, and if so, what episode is it in?

I'm showing all of Buffy and Angel to some friends of mine and we're watching them together so I want to make sure I get it lined up right so it matches with Angel. Season 7 is kinda off with Angel a little so you have to make some adjustments.

I know I'm obsessing on little details but I just want to make sure it's perfect.

As far as I'm aware, there was never any mention of the events in LA on BTVS. My theory is they were all too busy with their own problems to pay attention to news in LA. in fact, I don't really remember them watching much TV in S7 to hear the news anyway.

Also, as far as lining up Angel S4 eps with BTVS S7, you can't really do it, as the whole season of Angel S4 lasts approximatly 2 weeks, compared to S7, which lasts months.

Just to add to what Lyri said, I'm fairly sure Sunnydale had lost all electricity by then and so had no means of hearing about it.

Electricity went out at the beginning of 'Touched' I think, so in terms of days that was maybe 2 days after Faith arrived? That would be around the time Jasmine started taking over, so it would make sense that they didn't hear of her.

I never quite got a grasp on how Angel and Buffy lined up time wise.. Good question!
