Buffy & Angel DVDs- new packaging

Here's Angel boxed set, and you can only see season 1. Why on earth they have a photo of Cordelia/Charisma from a different season, I don't know: http://www.play.com/Search.html?searchtype=allproducts&searchsource=0&searchstring=angel+season+1

It's being touted as Twilightesque, although I don't know much about the series. What do you guys think?

Yuck!! I don't know much about Twilight, but it looks just like Twilight. Or one of the Vampire Romances at Barnes & Noble.
 
I'm not a fan....they're not ugly but nothing great either. And I have no idea how Twilight stuff looks but obviously nothing great if they're similiar
 
I guess I can see the Twilightesqueness but as someone who first picked up the Twilight book out of sheer desire for the pretty cover I really enjoy this look. I think they look great and I wouldn't mind owning them myself 🙂 (not enough to buy them all anew though 😉)
 
As soon as I saw them I thought of Twilight too! :S Why change them?? I don't get it, don't like it.... 🙁
 
Not that i think twilight has the patent on covers with black, red and white, but i do see the resemblance. Hopefully that willnmake twilighters read ornwatch buffy which could lead to more buffy comics, maybe even a josswritten movie and collectibles. One could dream anyway.
 
They look.....EXTREMELY Twlight-ish. I mean, i admire the attempt at designing new covers, and they look alright, but...it makes Buffy look like a Twlight rip-off.

I think i'll keep my money safe till i can buy The Chosen Collection on-line.
 
Hate Twilight; so these covers do absolutely nothing for me.

I hate the fact the powers that be are trying to latch onto those awful vampire love movies. I prefer the re-releases before these...
 
They are so-so; I like the season 2 cover with the Claddagh ring. The black, white and red combo is similar to Twilight's original design - although I'm sure there are tons of books out there with similar color themes and designs.
 
I really like the design of the covers even though they bear resemblance to Twilight although I think if you picked these up in a shop they wouldn't speak to a new watcher very well. There's nothing on it to show what it might be about. However I do think I'd be more excited of the new artwork had it come with the release of both programmes on blu-ray. Although I don't think the prices are bad.
