Buffy/Angel on Blu-Ray?

I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this thread but do you think Fox will release Buffy/Angel series on Blu-Ray in the near future with added extras? (next 5 years).

I think we, as fans, kind of got cheated with the original Buffy/Angel DVD releases (no deleted scenes, few actor/Joss interviews and commentaries, very few bloopers). I remember saving my hard income during my starving college years to shell out $65.00 for each season and figured they would "remaster" or release them on Blu-Ray by now with more bonus features.

The DVDs have some cool sets/stunts/makeup/weapons featurettes, but there is very little about the actors and Joss (especially compared to the Firefly/Serenity dvds), and I could do without the silly "Season 4" featurette where the writers basically summarize the season you just finished watching without giving any valuable behind the scenes reflection, facts or trivia.

I didn't start watching Buffy till 2000, wanted to but didn't have cable, and know there are a lot of fans who joined later and feel they missed out on a lot of the early interviews with the cast where everyone was really goofy/happy/excited about the show (not that they weren't later but there's nothing like a show's first 3 seasons for cast/crew excitement. It just seems like there is a lot of cool Buffy interviews/dailies/ reels "locked in the vault" that the fans would love to see.

It's possible they'll release it on Blu-Ray, but I doubt it'll have much new behind-the-scenes stuff. At least not enough to be worth buying all the seasons again for. I'm fine with the special features we have now. You can still find some cool interviews and stuff on Youtube.

Well I would have to say you should have waited until the Seasons went on sale. Could have bought them for a lower price and saved some money. Also Starving College Years would imply you didn't eat much but instead went out and bought something you honestly didn't need at the time being.

Yes glad you bought it and all but it's all about priorities and what you buy and so forth. If you feel you got jipped oh well they have to sometimes keep some things hidden because what would be the point?

Oh here's the Blu-Ray version of the Tv show with no added features just remastered and so forth. They always have something so people would WANT to buy it.

Look at Disney...they release the same movies OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER and they sell? Why because they remake them and add a whole bunch of features. But unlike Disney Buffy can't add things like Games on their DVD's.

So if they put EVERYTHING they had on Buffy into the DVD releases then there would be nothing else to put on them when they came out with them again.

It's all about Marketing!

They could make new commentaries and interviews. They did it for Firefly.

I wish Buffy was on Blu-Ray I would buy it in a heartbeat
