Slayers Sythe. You are looking at a fullsize solid one peice aluminum (Chrome finish) cast Scythe, as seen in the final episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (season 7). This is an exact replica in every detail, this was made with the help of the person who purchased the ORIGINAL from the famous FOX auction last year - see pics below, (he has asked me to keep his identity to myself, as he owns the original, and understandably knows how desirable the original would be to every Buffy fan out there - this I will respect). the scythe has a leather wrap handle on the stem, & rubber grips on the blade handle, once a scythe is cast, and then it goes through a 10 stage nickel process, so that the finish is Chrome (this can be buffed & polished). This is pretty much indestructable & has the weight of a real weapon. The original was cast in Rubber, so that it could be used on set without anybody getting seriously hurt (this one however can cause some serious damage). Please keep in mind that like the original this is a solid one peice cast, meaning that there is no weak joints (it hasn't be glued to a plastic handle or wooden stake) or soldering, and will last forever! The pictures dont give the scythe justice, it looks fantastic in hand (everyone who has purchased one so far are very pleased and taken back with the detail that has gone into this item). The Scythe is meant for display purposes only (but that doesn't mean its delicate - far from it. I didn't make them so that people could go around chopping off heads). *****a lot of people have asked what the reserve is, the reserve is only set at £500, which is a bargain as they cost me £400 to cast, if you want the best, then this item is what your looking for - you cant get better than EXACT*****

Thats cool, and I will have £400 at the end of the week but hmm not much I can do with a scythe (bar the obvious slaughtering)
 
"but a few monthes ago during the FOX auctioning of props, a full size scythe was made available, and it sold for $15,000" according to a comment on Buffy.nu

Yep, you would have to place bids, I believe....chances are that bidding will start at a fairly high number....one that probably counts most of us out.
 
It's a cool thing to have, and I wouldn't mind supporting a good cause, but for me it's not worth the money!
