I remember that someone posted about this. I remembered that the received a brief mention on the show on both shows. Willow lets Angel know Buffy is alive through Cordelia and we know about the reunion to take place by Buffy after pricing up the phone and talking to Angel on the other end and telling Giles that Angel wants to see her. Their actual reunion was not shown and only the readers of the comics would know if it was in an issue of them.

There was an issue of "Buffy" where each of the Scoobies gave their version of what the Buffy/Angel reunion would have been like. This might have come from there.

We will probably never know whether Buffy's friend's version of her reunion with Angel were accurate, close to the mark, or missed it entirely. It probably stands since it was in print.
