Started thinking today how interesting it would have been to see how Buffy would have behaved as a vampire and how her relationships with Spike and Angel would have changed.

Would she be a ruthless killer? Would she go looking for a soul? Would Angel and Spike have the strength to kill her?

Would Buffy kill her friends?

So many question which makes the scenario really intriquing to me. I wouldn't have wanted it to be a permanent thing but it would have made a great episode.

Anyone else agree?

If its the episode with the little boy who played Little League then yes i've seen that episode. However in that specific episode she was only a vampire for a short amount of time plus she had no interaction with Angel or Spike.

And she didn't really seem like a vampire, in the sense of the show. she seemed like herself with a vampire face. If she truly became a vampire I do think it'd be really interesting, like we got to see Xander and Willow as vampires.

If Buffy was to become a vampire a lot of her personality would change. Just like in Doppelgangland where although there were some similarities between vamp Willow and Willow there were a lot of differences too. So i do think that Buffy would try to bite her friends, but my main wonder is how powerful she would be as a vamp. If she was to keep her slayer strength and add that to vamp strength she would basically be unstopable.

Buffy as a vamp would be weird. The concept *is* intriguing, but not so much in a good way. If she were a vampire, she'd have no soul and go around killing. That's just the way. I don't think she'd be as artistic about is as Angelus, though. I think she'd be a kind of Darla vampire- very elegant.

I think she would've had fun as a vamp messing with her friends/lovers/family. Telling Angel she never loved him, telling Willow she's a pathetic nerd pretending to be cool, telling Xander he's beneath her, or telling Giles he failed her because she got vamped, etc. She could probably really mess up a re-ensouled Spike.

I was just about to say I think she'd give Darla a run for her money. 🙂 I think Buffy would be very charming and would be vicious, but she would also use her human face to its full advantage. 🙂

I really like the part in Nightmares where she becomes a vamp for a bit, but I really would have liked that explored more, like a whole episode devoted to it or something. Everyone else was so interesting when they were vampires, it would have been cool to see vamp Buffy for longer. OH WELL

I totally posted on the "what bad guys would you want to see" thread that I would have loved to have seen a Slayer all vampified. I think the writers missed a trick with that one.

Yes, they did!

I agree there with you.... I'd wonder if she'd still have her slayer powers... Actually, being turned into a vampire is basically being killed or almost... Would there be a new slayer then? Or just Faith taking over?
That could be fun, Faith and Buffy as vampires...

In the Fray comics, wasn't Fray's twin brother a slayer/vampire hybrid guy? He got the slayer dreams, etc. and used them to manipulate everyone, I think.

If Buffy vamped though, I think maybe she'd still be sort of programmed, in a way, to kill vampires... Maybe she'd believe that it hadn't affected her or something.

I think he only got the dreams and mental slayer stuff. That's what was said in Season 8 "Time of Your Life". I haven't read Fray.

That sort of thing happened to Gunn in After the Fall, in a way.

We saw the shame she felt when she was a vampire, even for such a short time. I think it's safe to say that if she was permanently sired, she'd hate herself as much as Angel did.

Angel only hated himself post-soul. The vampire Buffy in nightmares also had a soul. I think what is being asked is what she would do as a soulless vampire, ala Gunn in ATF.

With vampification apparently not changing character so much, but just nixing conscience/empathy, I could see Vamp!Buffy still slaying vampires (but probably even more disturbing about her methods in doing so than S3 Faith was - less staking, more "beat to a pulp, then crucify in full view of the soon-to-rise morning sun"), and quite possibly she'd start taking to killing off humans who she thinks deserve to die, too, much like a vengeance demon would. I think D'Hoffryn would love to invite Vamp!Buffy to scones and a cup of blood, some day.

I agree with you. I think she would be elegant and very vicious in her own way. It is indeed intriguing to think off but mostly as a theory. I dont think I would care much for Vamp Buffy in practice

Before watching the last season, i thought Buffy would end up a vampire at the end. Perhaps having the next slayer forced to kill her. Would have been interesting.

Lol, that sounds like Angelus.

I really don't know how it would have changed her, but I think that if they ever had this happen to her, it wouldn't have lasted long. But it would have caused some priceless moments for sure!
