The new quarter's awards are almost upon us...please send me your nominations via PM for the following categories -

Best New Scooby - The new member (joined after 1st January, 2005) who you think has made the best contribution to the boards. ( Jill_Valentine the previous winner is not eligible)

Class Protector - The established member who has done most to help newbies and other members. (Mr Pointy - previous winner - is ineligible )

Sunnydale Art Gallery - Your favourite BB artist (Xander & SpiketheBloody -previous winners - are ineligible)

Storyteller - Slightly different this time - we're going for story rather than the writer. Please send me your nominations for your favourite fan fic posted on the BB since 1st January (it doesn't have to be finished yet - your fave might be a serial 😉) Please send me the story name and author's name.

The Giles award - for the smartest, most genius-like member on the boards. This one did not run last time, so everyone is eligible.

The Li'l Pumpkin Belly award - for the cutest, cuddliest member. Again, not run last time so all are eligible.

This quarter we will also be running The Chosen One award which will be selected by the BB staff for the member who makes the best contribution to the boards. This will be announced at the same time as the other award winners.

Nominations will close on Saturday 9th April and I will post the polls that you can vote in shortly after that.
 
The Giles Award- Jill_Valentine, I believe it is. Dude, all her answers are usually so well thought out and stuff, it's scary.

Storyteller- Blood Bound, by Jaded. Awesome stuff right there.

Thanks for that TH but you should've PMed 'em to me. Not to worry, no harm done. I'll add these to my list...but PLEASE guys, only PMs to me from now on will be accepted.

BTW - please don't be offended if I don't reply to your nomination PMs (unless, of course, you've asked me a specific award-related question) as that would really start to clog up my sent items folder and my PM limit may get reached...so thanks in advance for your nominations 🙂
 
I'd like to point out there are some good stories to be considered in the Tales of the Slayer section, as well as the general fanfic section.

Well, there is nothing in the rules to say you can't...but the idea is that you would normally nominate a fellow member who you thought was worthy of an award because you liked a banner they'd done or a story or poem they'd written etc.
 
Is it necessary to nominate people for all the awards?. I'm pretty new so I don't know who should win the Class Protector award, but I've seen some fanart threads and I know who to vote for in the Sunnydale Art Gallery award. Can I send you votes for two or three awards, not all of them?.

No problem - just PM me with the ones where you have a favourite. You can look at the others when it's time to vote 🙂

Of course you will be entitled to vote when the voting starts. We are at the nomination stage at the moment, which will finish in about a week. After that I will be posting the award poll threads where all members can vote for their favoured nominee.
 
Oh yes, dear Feigenbaum, it IS so much fun. 'specially when you see your name in LIGHTS!!!!!

ok, well not LIGHTS exactly, but it's always nice to be nominated.

My friend, you are far too modest. I'd like to put up Pitra's story as a good example as well, along with the aforementioned Haiku. Please give 'em all a read!
