Been very bored lattly so im going to have to take up reading as a hobby and i wanted to know if anyone could recomend any good Buffy books. Also are there any based around Spike and Dru?

There's one called Pretty Maids All In a Row. It's about how this demon hires Spike and Dru to break into the Watcher's Council and steal the list of those who are going to be called as Slayers.

the buffy books arent really that good.
i know i know how can something to do with buffy be not good but hey their not that well written. they are all written by different ppl and some write better than others. but it might just be me but hey you never know. just pick one and read it . atm im reading an angel book called hollywood noir its not that bad actually so give it a go

My fave Buffy book is called 'the lost slayer' It was originally published in 4 parts, but www.fsf.co.uk have got it in hardack as one book for under 10 quid. I have lent my copt to loads of people 'cos i think it is so good- I am evangelical about it. Plus you do get to see Spike and dru in it (not for long, but enough)

The Gatekeeper trilogy is OK... but the best is 'The Lost Slayer' and 'Pretty Maids' as previously mentioned. I am in the middle of Tales of the slayers at the mo and that is pretty good... it is a collection of short stories about previous slayers so that is good background.

A really good book of buffy is The book of fours. I cant really explain it but its really really good....lol

also theres another series you might like its called fearless. Its about a girl whos born without the fear gene(i know not true but its a pretty cool book so dont laugh yet)

Also another series would be sweep. Its about wicca and it tells the story of a bloodwitch whose name is morgan. It tells about the diffuclties she has and everything.

Well hope you enjoy your reading!

Thanx everyone just read the Spike/Dru book Pretty Maids All In a Row and loved it i think i may read 'the lost slayer' next.

I believe Chris Golden wrote the lost slayer... but I can't remember for sure and I have leant my copy to a friend. However if you check out www.fsf.co.uk then it should give the details there.

update... I have just checked the link and it is CG who wrote it... but hhey don't sell it as a single item anymore... (but it is a bookclub, so you prob wouldn't want to buy it from them anyway) just as a pack of 3 books 🙁 so if you get them from a bookstore then you will have to get the 4 different books (but I don't know the individual names for them). Actually, I know the name of one of the books, but I think it is a major spoiler 'cos it is called
Giles the vampire king

i think i read that one....its actually called orignial sins right? its in a series....yea i liked that one...its not a spoiler though!!!!

Are you at all interested in non-fiction books about the show, the actors & production, episode summaries and comments?

If so, there are two books written by Nancy Holder, et. al., that you might want to look at:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Watcher's Guide (covers S1 and S2)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Watcher's Guide 2 (covers S3 and S4)

There are also others othe same ilk, even script books, but I haven't read them. You might check Amazon or Barnes&Noble online.

Let's see...My favorite is Tales of the Slayer, the comic. The other one is okay, just two or three good stories. The Watcher Guides are pretty good. But, mostly I read a lot of fan fic...the fans are usually the best writers.

OK, I now know what the individual lost slayer books are called (cos it was handily on the back page of the book i just finished reading - tales of the slayer vol 1) and it seems they have changed the title of one of them so it isn't a spoiler anymore (which is good)... though possibly I was mistaken about the title in the first place and just remembered the blurb 😉

anyhoo, they are :-
Prophesies
Dark Times
King of the Dead
Original Sins

and they are published by Pocket Books.

does anyone know how many buffy books are out there, including the trilogies??
🙂 BB
