Do you own ANY kinds of Buffy Books? I have loads!
I like reading the story basedones, more than ones like The Watchers Council books. My favourite book of them all, would have to be, The Lost Slayer series.
This is my list of what books i own:
1) Tales of the Slayer 1+2
2) The Lost Slayer 1, 2 and 4 (cant find the stupid number 3!)
3) The Wisdom of War
4) The Faith Trails, volume 1
5) Sweet Sixteen
6) The Book of Fours
7) These Our Actors
8) Revenent
Ok, so i dont have LOADS of books, i thought i did. What do you think of the books?

My favorite is the Lost Slayer series as well; very emotional. Best Buffy books I've ever read; heck, those books were the best books I've read altogether. Here are the books I own (none of them are story based), but I have read other books (just haven't bought them yet):
1. The Monster Book
2. Sunnydale High Yearbook
3. Reading the Vampire Slayer: An Unofficial Critical Companion to Buffy and Angel

I have the book of the fours and am thinking of either getting spike and dru or the lost slayer (its in one volume now)

I havent read Spike and Dru Faldor, but i suggest you get The Lost Slayer. Its the best book ive read, but its just my opinion, so you decide.

I have some of the earlier Buffy novels in my collection, but i love the Angel novels, i have every single one and have two more on order and i'm thinking of purchasing a third.. still haven't made my mind up... 🙂 (it's another Buffy/Angel cross-over)

If you want to start on an Angel novel and have seen up to the end of Season Three (or even halfway through the third season) then i recommend "The Longest Night Vol.1" . It's a collection of short stories by different Buffy and Angel authors based on December 21st, the Winter Solstice. Each story is an hour of the night, so the first story is 6pm, the second story 7pm and so forth til 5 or 6 am. They're very good and i think an excellent introduction to Angel fiction if you've been wanting to get into the books and didn't know where to start. Or alternatively, there's book one "City Of" which is basically the pilot episode 🙂

I don't have any of them, I'm sorry! ... I don't do much merchandise!

I have not got many... I will be buying the Spike & Dru book though. 😉

My books include:

- Immortal
- Yearbook
- Watchers guide vol. 1
- Watchers guide vol. 2
- Monsters guide
- Halloween Rain

I really want to buy one of the Buffy/Angel crossover books, i think they're called Eternal or The Buring, they're a triology. Help me! What are they called?

I have pretty much all the Bufffy/Angel books released. It keeps me going when I get cravings and its not Buffy/Angel night!!

The Buffy/Angel crossover trilogy is called Unseen. Book 1 is called The Burning (which I am proud to say that I have signed by Amber Benson herself!!) Book 2 is called Door To Alternity and Book 3 is called Long Way Home. I think I remembered those titles correctly!

With the Buffy/Angel books I strongly recommend anything written by Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder. They are my favourites as they seem to capture the essence of the show.

For Buffy books with a sense of history, I strongly recommend Spike and Dru: Pretty Maids All In A Row by Golden.

Also both volumes of Tales of The Slayer are very good.

What about the graphic novels? Do any of you guys read those?

I'm reading that now.. and it has a lot of flashback scenes, like when Darla sired Angel, and the whole Buffyddeal, and Jenny calander.

It says the book is a novelization of the series premiere.. and based on the teleplay made my Joss and David.

But were those flashback chapters suppossed to be in the pilot or or did the author nancy holder just include past buffy and angel events to make the reader better understand?

also... it mentions Whistler and how he came to Angel in 1996 and told him about Buffy and to go to her and help her and talks about Merrick (her first watcher)

so i have a questions... where was whistler mentioned on the show? i dunt remember. because here in the book doyle is talking to angel like in the pilot and then angel starts to remember when a demon called WHISTLER came to him in manhattan of 1996 and told him to stop being all lazy and broody and go help... and he told her about buffy.

obiously this wasnt in the pilot of angel or the pilot of buffy so where on BUFFY what season and episode was this?

also im really sorry im going off topic here but my memory is rusty i have more questions:

a) angel killed darla when and why?
b) was darla brought back my wolfrman and heart at the end of angel season 1 or something?
c) drussilla was in buffy season 1 helping the master correct?
d) what happens.. spike and drussila comes in season 2???!
e) whats the last we see of dru.. i know we saw dru on ANGEL but that was a flashback of angel's past back in london when he was with darla and spike and dru. i mean PRESENT dru whats the last we see of her
f) why did spike and dru break up?
g) was harmony after or before dru
h) when does harmony come in and whats the last we see of her?

anyways but so far the book is good..

if anyone is thinking about re-reading the transcript of the pilot of ANGEL then i suggest read the book instead "ANGEL, city of"

also, this is my first "buffy" book i ever read. so does anyone know of any other good ones i should start with cuz i know there are literally 100's of them.

sorry about the long post but help a fellow fan out 🙂

I agree greatly with AmberHannigan, Christopher Golden is a brilliant writer! Theonly thing is though, he seems to repeat himself a lot, in The Lost Slayer, he always descrbes that if anyone is in the car and they have their hands on the steering wheel, its always ''their nuckles whitened'' , or, he uses The Fish Tank, and Lucy Hanover a lot in different novels. And one thing that really gets on my pip, is when he puts 'bliss' one of my annoying words EVER! But excellent writer (lol)

Just finished reading "Angel, City of" I recommend everyone to read it.
Real cool flashbacks that weren't in the pilot are here.

I have only read the Book of Fours and I really liked the Storyline of that! I really want them to start doing a series on India Cohen, I think that would be extremely interesting....

I read "Immortal", and I'm currently reading "Spike & Dru: Pretty Maids All In a Row", which is really good, and kind of deja-vuey 'cause Spike and Dru are killing all of the SITs and their WITs!
