So I did a search and didn't see this discussed so I hope it hasn't been chatted to death and I just missed it.

I discovered my favorite all-time album through viewing Buffy (Tom McRae self titled album). Sà£o Paulo Rain appeared in the episode Entropy while Xander was cryin into his beer and I was hooked. I still listen to that album really frequently (though I can't say I liked his newer one) and I never would have discovered it otherwise.

So I was wondering if anyone else really found something special in the music on Buffy. Not really counting OMWF here cause I think that is either love it or hate it and has been discussed.

Yeah...Kane.

Ok, so no ACTUAL Kane songs appeared in Angel, but hearing Christain Kane sing 'LA Song' in 'Dead End' made me wonder if he had any other singing credits, and I saw a link for his and Steve Carlson's band, Kane, and instantly fell in love with their mix of country/rock'n'roll. 'House Rules', 'Spirit Boy', and 'Middle America Saturday Night' are three of my all time favorite songs.

They are definitely one of my favorite bands. I've heard them play live twice, and both times were great performances, and I never would have heard of them if not for Angel.

Pretty much everything from the Bronze. I mean, Garbage and Bif Naked? Who doesn't love them! I really like Darling Violetta and the Transylvania Concubine song too....have them all burned to a completely "legal" cd I promise!

lulz... I think I too have that CD...
I have lots of song but I can only think of
Blink 182 - All the Small Things
which is featured in season four "Something Blue" in Willow's drunk scene.

Totally agree. Kane is so not the type of music I would have looked up otherwise, but fan-loyalty can take you to strange places. It took a little getting used to - I mean, middle American country rock isn't exactly commonplace in Scotland, but I found myself constantly heading back to their Myspace page to listen to House Rules and Whiskey in Mind. Then I heard A Different Kind of Knight and I was hooked.

And, yes, I am unbelievably jealous of you Lyri. Last time Kane were in the UK I didn't even know who Lindsey McDonald was, never mind Kane. I seem to remember being under the impression that Lilah was Lindsey...

*cough* he was here too!!! *cough*
I LOVE Four Star Mary, they're my favourite band. I also used to like K's Choice and Black Lab but I haven't listened to them for ages.

And the song Teenage FBI always makes me happy 🙂

I've downloaded a few songs after hearing them on Buffy... Transylvanian Concubine - Rasputina, Out of this World - Bush, It Doesn't Matter - Alison Krauss, Goodbye to You - Michelle Branch... some others that I can't remember right now 😀

But yeah, the music was almost always good on BtVS.

Out of this World is def on my top Buffy music favorite list!
Some of my favorite songs are songs that were featured on Buffy... I love "Dilate" by Four Star Mary, "Sugar Water" by Cibo Matto, "Lucky" by Bif Naked", "Bohemian Like You" by Dandy Warhols... And who could get the perfection of "Goodbye to You" by Michelle Branch being used at the end of "Tabula Rasa"? 🙂

Anyone who doesn't have the soundtrack albums should totally get them. There are some kick-ass songs on them. And if you get Radio Sunnydale, get the UK version. It has a better mix of songs on it!

My favorite bronze song was the one in harsh light of day. Cant remember the name or how it goes, but i remember liking it alot. Wish i could be bothered checking it out.
