buffy cameos on angel

why didnt buffy make more cameos on angel i mean he did it on her show. it would've be so cool buffy and angel fighting evil together. what do you think.

I believe it was timing and family/personal issues she was having at the time of the filming of season 5 that prevented her from guest spotting. And she also said that in her opinion she believed Angel, although an excellent show, seemed to always struggle to get out from under the shadow of BtVS and she thought having Buffy in one of the final episodes would have had a tendency to make her (Buffy that is, not Sarah) the focus rather Angel.

Wasn't it because they switched networks? I read that somewhere in passing.

I loved how they brought Andrew in. I might be odd, but I loved Andrew. He was great comic relief.

Sarah was busy on her own show and her side projects that she had going on. i don't think she really had the time to jump over to Angel. plus, from S2 onwards, Angel was trying to distance itself from BTVS, which is why there aren't many cameos after S1 apart from Faith, Willow and Andrew.

Sarah appeared in 2 episodes of Angel, which wasn't her sho to begin with and hadn't been established as a cast member. David appeared in 4 episodes of BTVS after he left, but he'd already been a cast member and had a well established character on the show. i think it was easier to bring Angel into BTVS, rather than take Buffy over to Angel.

yeah, that was another reason. after BTVS jumped networks, leaving Angel behind, the networks wanted to keep them as seperate as possible.
