Buffy Character Theme

I didn't quite know where to put this so I thought i'd put it here.
One of the great things about Buffy over the years has been its great selection of music that enhances a scene(lest we forget how we cried with Goodbye to You at the end of Tabula Rasa).

So, here is my idea for an interesting thread.
Take all the significant(or as many as you like) characters of Buffy and give them the 'Ally McBeal' style theme tune. You know what I mean, assign the song you think truly defines the character of your choice, and it doesn't have to be one that was used in/for the show.

You could even progress it and give the significant couplings a theme too(not the show ones either).
Just a bit of fun really.

Note please explain the reasons for your choice too.

EG. Xander - Holding out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler
Of all the main characters, Xander is in my mind the truest of heros. He had no powers, no abilities and/or strengths. He wasn't a problem solver and often got himself in danger, yet this never stopped him from stepping up to the plate. He was the one that rarely faultered. The fight was what counted. He had a brief slip after his eye was squished by Caleb, but then he came back.
Of the whole show, Xander is the bravest of the brave, a hero, a warrior a king amongst men...he even put up with Bitchy Cordy AND Anya, thats bonus points.

It always makes me think of Earshot if Buffy hadn't made it to the tower in particular, and Jonathan in general.

As I've said before, I think the old Kris Kristopherson song "Help Me Make It Through The Night" epitomizes the entire Buffy/Spike relationship, but especially the "fade to black" scene in "Chosen."

This might be a bit obvious, but I picked Girl Anachronism by The Dresden Dolls for Faith.

The song itself is kind of an anthem for girls who aren't perfect. I think it suits Faith perfectly. Kind of like, no matter what she does she isn't going to perfect. She's inherently flawed, like people are.

There's a couple lyrics that kind of highlight the Faith/Buffy dynamic:

i've got some issues to work through
there i go again
pretending to be you
make-believing that i have a soul beneath the surface
trying to to convince you it was accidentally on purpose

and you can tell from the full body cast
that you're sorry that you asked
that you did everything you could
like any decent person would

I dunno, I just think it fits is all.

Lithium by Evanescence isn't a bad one for Faith. You just have to really listen to it.

Call Me When You're Sober by Evanescence as well kind of describes the Spuffy relationship. Or at least that's how I view it.

Prayer of St. Francis is a good one for Buffy herself. (And yes, I got the idea from when it played on the show...)

Boulevard of Broken Dreams isn't a bad one for Angel in the earlier seasons of Buffy. He did seem kinda...lonely I guess...
